Nope. I am not aware of any aftermarket shocks compatible with the OEM switch.

However, the RS9000's are adjustable, and Rancho offers a dedicated remote control adjustment system for them. $$$, but slick.

What about Pro Comp? Wouldn't the 324509 mensioned above be a little short if you use to disconnect the rear swaybar?

I've searched the Pro Comp's catalog and found that 325500 is a little longer:

Extended Length (in): 25.740 in.

Collapsed Length (in): 15.490 in.

Those particular ones are for the rear.

If it has eyelets for both upper and lower mounts its a rear shock. Front shocks have a stud for the upper mount and an eyelet for the lower.

Anybody have the part number for the Rancho 5000's for the front? I may need new shocks. I seached through like 15 pages and can't find them.

The Rancho P/N for the front is RS5214 (5000), RS99214 (9000X) or RS999214 (9000XL)

Here is a list of the Rancho 5000 part numbers with the correct mounting for the rear shocks.

This is a "budget shock" that you can get @ autozone from gabriel that is only 17 bucks....this is the size and stuff if your lifted and want good flex, I dunno how well it would work for you, but in theory it is a perfect solution. You have to order the shock as being for a stock 1995 f150 which gets you the correct length and such, so yeah

Part Number: 81510

Weight: 4.1 lbs

Warranty: LLT

Application: Without lift kit

Notes: Shock

Category Name: Guardian Shock

Internal Design: Twintube

Adjustable: No

Gas Charged: Yes

Hardware Included: No

Quantity: Sold Individually

Extended Length: 25.73 In.

Collapsed Length: 15.12 In.

Stroke: 10.61 In.

Instructions included: No

I am going to add to this...... IF........ you have the Trail Master susp lift, or you have a combination of 3" BL and 4" SL, there is no Rancho listed for the Pathfinder that fits. (oh trust me, I know now! event he Rancho 9000XL is about 4-5" too short!)

Go direct to Trail Master to get the shocks that fit. I will post p/n's when I have access to them. (they are listed right on Trail Masters site)

Another option from the shelves of your local Autozone...

As I was working one night, I started sifting through part numbers of various shocks, looking to replace mine on the cheap when I finally install my SL...

The factory front specs are as follows:

Extended length: 14.95 inches

Collapsed length: 9.67 inches

Stroke length: 5.28 inches

(I have not found the F150 shocks mentioned earlier. Maybe something changed?)

The factory rear specs are as follows:

Extended length: 22.49 inches

Collapsed length: 13.69 inches

Stroke length: 8.80 inches

I am thinking about swapping in a set of Gabriel Hi Jacker air shocks for the rear, since I have the rear tire carrier, and will put my full size spare on it, when I get time...thus it will probably sag more so, and the extra boost the air shocks will provide will help to level things up.

Here are the Hi Jacker specs for the rear. These are actually Chevrolet/GMC K1500 4WD rear shock specs, but will compensate for the lift...

Extended length: 26.33 inches

Collapsed length: 16.35 inches

Stroke length: 9.98 inches

The Chev/GMC shocks are about 25 bucks cheaper than the Nissan replacement, and they sure do look beefier. Had them out of the box and was checking them out, no comparison...especially with a lifetime warranty.

I have seen a few ebay stores that claim to sell a complete set of shocks for "lifted" pathfinders, $140 range...but I dont know the quality...(chinese stuff...oh yeah!!!)

Man, a few years ago a buddy of mine found a website that specialized in shocks. He ordered a set for his Toyota, and was able to "customize" his shocks. What I mean is, he entered his lift, how much articulation he wanted, the extended length and collapsed length of the shocks, etc. They were very beefy shocks, and he didn't pay an arm and a leg for them...I just cannot for the life of me recall what dang site it was.

Any suggestions?

Call 4wheelparts directly when ordering, they can put any size shocks you want in the "package deal" I ordered a set of ES3000's long ago and had them replace the stock sized rears with a set that were longer (listed for a Toyota) to gain more downward travel on the rear axle. Still priced at the special they were running at the time (4 shocks + SS)

And remember, that the fronts remain stock sized even when lifted.

Thanks for the info regarding the front. I was hunting an extended length but glad I did not purchase.

I read somewhere about the Trailmaster 4 inch kit using extended shocks, or adapters on their lift for the front...I assume that is because they dropped the lower control arms down? Dunno, that kit has been discontinued for some time now...

I have dealt with 4Wheelparts a few times, good people. Every once in a blue moon they have a great deal on stuff...clearance etc...

Anyone have any thoughts on the Rancho RSX17000's? I've had them in my 97 SE and am due to replace. Was going to do RS5000 but figure the RSX17000 would be a worthwhile upgrade.?

What rancho shock will fit a 2001 path with a 4In SFD. Getting closer to purchasing the lift

BUT all I need is this rear shocks because they said the front can be reused but I will upgrade

later on down the line.

Trailmaster definitely uses 4 inch longer shocks front and rear. There's a knuckle adapter that drops the front lower control arms, crossmember, and diff down 4 inches and the knuckle adapter takes up the space in between the lower suspension and the steering links.
