Hey gang, proud owner of a 1993 Pathfinder. Just over 70,000 miles on it, 2WD, XE-V6, A/T. It's been great so far. A few mechanical things need to done before I can start doing performance upgrades, but I look forward to the challenge.

Anybody on the forum not an off-roader? I'm not an off-roader (although I once had aspirations) and now am considering tuning the pathy toward being a better street vehicle. I'm considering adding a lowering kit (1-2 inches), performance tires and possibly headers and an intake (if they're available for the pathy.)

Any suggestions or advice is welcome.

Thanks. Nice meeting everyone. This looks to be a great forum.

Headers sure are available, as for intakes, you're not gonna find one of the rice-rocket ones [AEM, Stillen, Injen, etc.], but I hear you can fab up your own cone intake without too much work. I'll make fun of you forever for being one of the people who lowers an SUV, but that's ok. =) Good luck with your mods... I've heard that aftermarket ignitions, [MSD, DirectHits] can be of some benefit, but I'm not entirely sure.

Funny thing is, I used to make fun of all the same people. Now I'm gonna become one of them!!! Oh the IRONY!!! Seriously though, since I never go off-roading, one of the best ways for me to improve the street performance of the pathy would be to lower it a couple of inches and throw on some performance tires to increase handling and cornering ability.

Anyway, nice to meet you guys. Don't hit too hard. :hide:

That's GREAT! I live in Hawaii and I see those guys everywhere I turn! Funny, thing is, over here we've got rice rockets galore, but we've also got an epidemic of trucks/suv's LIFTED just for looks! You can tell by the looks of the drivers and the looks of the vehicle that it's all for show!

When I get this thing detailed, I'll take a pic and post it..... then hopefully you all can see the transformation and give your approval or disapproval.
