Butch
Which side of an Idler Pulley is the front? Dayco 89134 or similar. If orientation matters why do pulleys not state somewhere on part? This seems to be a sealed bearing so I have not used the Dust Covers due to interference. I have it in this order. Spacer, Pulley, Washer, Nut. Is this correct? Belt is aligned. colinnwn
I did mine probably 5 years ago. As I recall it was not orientation dependent, and because it was a sealed bearing I did not try to reuse the old dust cover. Butch
Thanks for your reply. Will be changing it out this week with a Gates Pulley 36087. Had a Dayco but lasted maybe 30,000 KM. Unfortunately I am not sure of the reassembly of spacer and washer but will give it a long look. Sadly I am only continuing to keep working on because any new vehicle I am trying to buy is not available till late Fall 2022. Would love to be able to keep the Pathfinder but horrible gas mileage and getting a bit old to trust on longer journeys.
