CO94LEV6
So I spent the day yesterday troubleshooting my 94 LE for the fuel pump not working. Put in a new pump and relay and still nothing. Traced the problem to the relay not getting a ground connection from the ECM. What controls the ECM to initiate the completion of the ground connection? Is there a sensor or something that tells the ECM to cut the ground and stop the fuel pump? I just cut the ground wire at the ECM and connected the relay wire to the grounding screw and it runs now, but would like to fix it properly. 2milehi
There is probably a bad component in the ECM. The ECM is programmed to turn on the fuel pump for a few seconds when ignition is turned on. Then when there is a tach signal the ECM turns on the fuel pump. I would try swapping out the ECM. If you are in the Summit county area (Breckenridge) I have a spare ECM that you can try. Hit me up and we can figure out something.
Exorpmtech
What he said. Sounds like a bad driver at the PCM. Did you ohm the wire from the pcm to the relay?
