cfuqua23
Hey all, I just recently purchased a 99 Pathfinder SE, can someone please tell me what options I have for lifting this bad boy. All I've seen is the Old Man EMU kit...any suggestions?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mjotrainbrain
There is a few threads about this. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/7192-which-suspension-lift-package/ http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/19867-max-tire-size-vs-lift-kit-used-vs-custom-or-oe-wheels/ Plus a bunch of others. But anyway, the big question is: how big do you want to go? The most common lift heights are 1", 2", 4", and 6". There is also the question of budget, which determines factors like coils vs. spacers. Another important factor is the condition of the stock suspension; if it's totally worn out and needs replacing anyway then spacers aren't the way to go. cfuqua23
@mjotrainbrain, Thanks for the response, I called nisstec lifts and they basically told me that there isnt really a lift kit for the 99 SE, and that the half inch lift is the only route i could go. I thought to myself that cannot be true. I dont want to do anything crazy, i just want a nice little 2 or 4 inch lift that i can head up to the colorado mountains and have some fun. mjotrainbrain
Yup, they're definitely wrong about that, lol. If you want 4" (or really anything from 2" to 12" depending on how much you want) you can build an SFD following these instructions: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/31584-my-pathy-project-lifting/ For 2 inches, you can do a coil lift from 4x4parts.com (commonly called the AC lift) or a spacer lift, which can be found on eBay and for sale by a forum member (fleurys) at sfcreation.com. I have the lift from sfcreation.com and it has been great.
