PatDes
Hey I cleaned the very dirty throttle body of my 04 R50 after which I got this trouble code "P0507 Idle Air Control System RPM Higher Than Expected" now if I'm not mistaken I should just need to reset the ECM but I can't seem to do it with my scan tool and disconnecting the battery for an extended period of time did work either. Any ideas? Sent from my SM-G870W using Tapatalk
Slartibartfast
I've heard of the drive-by-wire throwing a fit when the throttle body is cleaned--cleaning changes the airflow enough that the computer assumes something is horribly wrong. There's a reset procedure here that might do the trick. Also discussion of it here (though on an R51). Unhooking the battery for 24 hours apparently resets it, but then you have to go through the relearn procedures anyway. Sounds like some guys have no luck calming the drama queen themselves and have to get it reset at the dealer.
