starbai
So removing the valve covers these fittings were brittle as hell and they crumbled at the slightest pressure to get the hose off. In my research it seems nissan doesn't sell this and the only offical way to repair it is to replace the whole valve cover. Thats super expensive. Does anyone know how I can fix it? I'm thinking about drilling it out and tapping some threads and replacing it with an aftermarket fitting. Does anyone have any experience with this? How possible is my solution? hawairish
They're just a breather ports between the covers, so tapping it out and using aftermarket fittings is likely viable, as long as it can withstand the heat, not fall part under the covers, and resist oil/leaking. 02silverpathy
Are yours aluminum or plastic covers? Edited August 19, 2016 by 02silverpathy
02silverpathy
If plastic look for the aluminum ones on ebay....they are the best! Just need to order 1 new coil pack to fit correctly....I believe it was #1 spark plug. Edited August 19, 2016 by 02silverpathy
