Viajero
Thought I'd start a new topic as well as the old dinosaur thread I replied to (http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/25855-locking-hub-install-with-pictures/page-8#entry776956) in hopes that I might get a faster response. Please feel free to respond to either. I just purchased a 2002 LE and would like to do the manual locking hub install, but have been seeing greatly varying prices online from $180 for the Rugged Ridge ones to about $89 for others on Amazon and Ebay. I've decided on getting the Rugged Ridge style hubs so that they will fit well with my 17" LE wheels, but there seem to be a few brands that look the same and which are up to $100 cheaper than the Rugged Ridge ones, but seem to be exactly the same. I'm assuming they've just been rebranded, some with the name tag and others without. http://www.amazon.co..._=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 http://www.ebay.com/...Q9WaiH5&vxp=mtr Would someone have some insight as to the quality of these hubs and if they are basically identical to the RR just rebranded? I see that at least one other member here has been using the style in my first link on a '98 and '01. Cheers!
Rebelord
From what I see is the RR are re branded. But if you want to spend $200 just get the warns. I'm not sure if rebuild kits are available for the RR. Also if you have the electronic transfer case and put the hubs. Don't put it in auto. cntryboy_88
If your gonna do this your best bet is to get quality or you'll be replacing them sooner rather than later...just go with the warns and you'll thank yourself in the long run Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
hawairish
I have the RR's and have not had any problems with them.
Viajero
Thanks all for your responses. The RR's look like a good alternative to the Warns at a much better price point. My question above was really about whether the ones in the following link: https://www.amazon.com/Evan-Fischer-EVA48172045934-Locking-Manual-6-stud/dp/B009DK3D8O?ie=UTF8&keywords=Evan-Fischer%20EVA48172045934%20Locking%20Hub%20Set%20of%202%20Manual%20type%206-stud&qid=1464515855&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 are just rebranded Rugged Ridges at a much lower price? One member here (shoesandsocks) had them on a '96 and '01 and seemed to like them. Opinions? Edited June 2, 2016 by Viajero
hawairish
They look exactly like mine, so I'd assume them to just be some generic set that 4wd Pros, RR, and a couple others just slap stickers on (that eventually just fall off anyway). No shortage of some on AliExpress that come without stickers.

No shortage of some on AliExpress that come without stickers. That's what I'm thinking they are, and since they're about $100 cheaper than the RR branded ones I rhink I'll give them a try. Cheers!
