maddmark1981
When I'm on the highway I notice this the most, it feels like vibration coming from the rear when I apply throttle, when I let off it goes away, there's no grinding or whining but the sound from the vibration is there, it feels like possibly something in the drive shaft? kdj
Is it speed specific? Maybe U joint or broken tire belts.
Kingman
Sounds like a U-Joint
maddmark1981
No its not altered by the speed, just when I hit the (gas) lol... How would I know if its the u joint? Is there any way of testing that link by grabbing onto it or a visual ? Thanks Sent from my LG-D852 using Tapatalk
kdj
Just grab ahold of the drive shaft at each joint and give it a good shake. You should be able to feel if there is any extra slop in it.
Kingman
Any slop in a U-Joint is bad, most of the time you can feel it. Every now and then you have to pull it out and turk it by hand and my feel for any binding.
adamzan
None of my u joints that were bad on the pathy ever felt loose they were always binding. So you could only tell by taking the driveshaft off.
RoguePathy
Could be the pinion nut backed off too, had a similar issue pop up in a buddy's vehicle after he added more power and better tires.
