Sagittarian
It seems that the only way to pump up the power on a VG30E w/o adding turbo is remapped ECU, headers, air filter and exhaust. Is that about correct?
Precise1
Cams as well, but basically, yes... B
mechanicalbaron
Where would you get a remapped ecu? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
djeffrey
Has anyone done a re mapped ecu, I saw one a while back on a website, can't quite remember it. I have been wanting to do it since my 3.3 swap, its pretty much the last thing I can do for more powder. I've wondered if it makes any sort of difference in power or mpg, of if its a waste of the $500. I think it was Jim wolfe technologies that does the tune. Sagittarian
Yeah, I forgot put head work, but that's what I thought. Rough guessing, after all that would put it about 190ish hp and 220is lb-ft? Edited November 29, 2015 by Sagittarian
adamzan
If you do all this on a vg33 you will be over th 200hp mark. Which would be perfect for a pathfinder. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk
flnl
Any idea about how many HP is possible to get of a VG30E with euro cams + air filter + headers + exhaust? I've already changed the cams and put a K&N box air filter, and I'm wondering if how worth is changing the headers and moving to a 2.25" exhaust with a high flow muffler. SpecialWarr
Oh the headers make a h#ll of a difference! 2.25 all the way even with a medi-ochre muffler like the Walker I have makes a big difference. Put a good muffler on there with higher flow catalytic converter and you have pretty much capped out all of the easy stuff.... after that is shave the heads and boost the compression to 10:1 and you have a rock'n'roll Pathy!
