Yukond21
I run the recommended regular 5w20 oil in my 93 pathy. Would it be safe for me to run synthetic? Anyone have any advice? Thank you!
SpecialWarr
There are at least a few of us that are currently running full synthetic oil. I have used Castrol Syntec for years in all of my cars prior to the path and never had so much as a hiccup from any of them. I think most would agree with me that the type is much less important than the correct weight and the correct weight much less important than changing it and the filter like clockwork every 3000 miles. Nissanland
Agreed, correct oil weight is just as important as quality of oil, I run synthetic blend 50/50 from Castrol. I run it in my Titan, Pathfinder, quads, and tractor. Never have had any oil related problems. Heavy v8. Lite v6. . High torque in line 4 diesel, or high revaluation single piston. Can't hurt it, but can help with heat and lubrication. IMHO Edited March 29, 2015 by Nissanland
adamzan
I have some advice. The recommended weight is 5w30, so I would start there.
