Macsleuth
Hello, picked up a 2014 Pathfinder SL w/Tech pkg this week. Have been driving Nissans since 97 and this is my 1st Pathfinder. Looking forward to participating in the forums and learning. I do bolt on mods, CAI, UDP, full flow exhaust. I also have 2 mid-sities full size Pontiacs that I'm restoring. 5523Pathfinder
Welcome and enjoy! Yeah, probably the first member with the new body style. Ah it's a big departure from what the older rigs were, they seem to be selling well. You will have to let the forum know how well it's working for you and your needs. Macsleuth
Thanks, I understand this is the second year for this generation, unibody AWD rather than full frame 4WD. Think I might be missing out on something! Seats 7, more room than the 2009 Murano I had. Loving it so far, very smooth ride. Hoping to do a few simple mods, CAI, UDP and down the road, full flow exhaust. Will certainly keep you guys posted.
bushnut
what were the reasons you decided to purchase said vehicle. It was noticeably missing from the "motor trend" SUV of the year line up.
Macsleuth
My lease was up Oct 1st. Office called me on the 15th, Nissan wanted the Murano back, 2 weeks over due. Really didn't have time to research, went in and needed something immediately. Saw this in Super Black. Enjoying it so far.
Inyourface1650
Cool. From my understanding this is the same platform as Murano (and Altima, Quest etc) - so should drive just like a big Murano. I'm interested to hear you say its roomier though -do you just mean behind the 2nd row, or is the whole vehicle bigger? Mike
Macsleuth
The ride is very smooth, like the Murano. It does feel bigger. Interior is a couple inches wider. And definitely longer. With the 3rd row down, the cargo area is longer, will get a better idea by how much, once I get my crap loaded back in. Which I'll do after I setup the cargo cover. (tonight). Macsleuth
Uh oh, cargo cover, is some sort of panel, back to the parts dept.
Rebelord
If you need parts, contact Alkorahil. His parts thread is here: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/18653-genuine-nissan-parts/ He gives the best prices and is very knowledgeable. nunya
I'd like to say that as well (get it dirty!) but can honestly see why it wouldn't be a priority Welcome and as stated I do believe you are the first to sign up here with a new style Pathfinder. Be prepared to see some of us picking on them some if you dig into some of the older threads as theres a bunch of stubborn chassis loyal-ish people on here. But if the r50 owners can take it, I'm sure you'll be fine, just rub that warranty in our faces! as also already stated, we have a member here that goes by Alkorahil, he's your go to for factory true Nissan part goodness and though we may not have first hand as of right now with your specific platform, there a quite a few of us that actually work in different automotive fields and can still field any questions you got as well. And don't be shy with sharing those Pontiacs either

Macsleuth
The cover fits with the 3rd row down, which is good because I need the space, but it doesn't cover as well as the cover in the Murano. Got over 1000 KMs on it already.
Karmann
Looks good, you sure love that cargo cover Just messin' with you. One classy ride that'd make a great roadtrip vehicle I bet. I think it's look great with a big old cargo rack on top, plus some odds and ends like smaller rims with high profile tires. Very nice either way.
Macsleuth
Ha ha, yes, love the cover and tinted windows. 1200KM and so far, a great CUV for spending 2-3 hours in a day.
Rebelord
That cover is badass. I want a cover like that for my R50!!!
teixeira
That cover gives me an idea for the WD21, should be easy to make and mount...
Macsleuth
Cover is a stretchy fabric with hooks in the corner. I would make it slightly larger, to cover stuff more completely. It hooks onto plastic hooks on the panels, I would change that too, sometimes it looks like it's going to pull those plastic hooks off the panels. I've added 3M hood and fender protector, a bug deflector, side widow air deflectors(???). Hoping to add a black push/brush bar before it snows. Think it'll look a little more bad-ass with the black rimmed snow tires. Changing those next week.
