ChrisFreeman
Hello everybody My 92 SE has a fuse labeled "seat heat" and I would love to know what it is for. I do not have heated seats and I do not think it was even an option back in 92. Thanks in advance.
92Path_68CJ
Interesting. I'd really like to know too. Try looking in FSM?

I haven't owned a pathfinder in about 6 months. Edit: I take that back. I found an old photo of the fuse door and see the fuse labeled Seat Heat. The label on the fuse chart can be seen to the right of the flash. Sorry about the flash by the way. Edited October 3, 2013 by 92Path_68CJ

Slartibartfast
Seat heaters were an option on these. I think the LE had it standard with the leather seats. IIRC if you find a set of heated seats, and the switches/harness, you can just plug them in, put the fuse in, and there you are. On my SE there are two blanking plates on the center console where the switches would go, and the Seat Heat fuse slot is empty. It seems to me like a great place to tap in a radio or something that you want fused but don't want to bother with an in-line fuse holder for. silverton
All the trucks use the same wiring harness, cheaper to build this way. The harness plugs for the heated seat coils are under the seats not being used.
Towncivilian
Did WD21 cloth seats have heated seats as an option? Do WD21 seats fit in an R50?
adamzan
Yes, and I don't know. My old wd21 had a heated drivers seat, but not passenger.
silverton
I've also heard you can take the heating element out of a seat that came with them and swap it in to a seat that didn't.
Trogdor636
My yard recently had MINT heated cloth seats. No idea why I didn't buy them.
morpheus
Most seat heaters are just a basic heating pad hooked up to a switch and 12v. You can pull the pad out of just about any make/model at a wrecker, doesn't have to be a Nissan, just has to have the right amount of surface area. 92Path_68CJ
You can buy DIY kits all over the net as well. It's more of the cool factor of OEM/ factory installed heated seats IMO. I know I'll be searching on my next pathy, that sounds nice in the winter.

Maxima has cooled seats, you could use those and at least keep it all Nissan!
