I more less got the fogs for looks not so much lighting up the trails. Of course you never know what one might do on a clear cool summer night. The clash is definitely noticable brother. I love the look of the light bar in the lower clip. Still not sure what im gonna do.23e3b60377117f62f2556391b0e01032.jpg

What bulbs are in those fogs?

  • 2 weeks later...

Finally got some time to work on the truck for a change. Took apart the passenger side to do the upper and lower balljpints and idler arm since everything has play in it. Got both balljpints seperate and replaced idler arm but didnt have all my tools to take apart the disk from cv to get lower balljoint out so that's about as far as I got. Three hours goes by really quick. Next weekend going camping but hopefully I can make another three hours for the truck to finish up the passenger side and just have the drivers side to do.

Got the auto transmission pulled out of my 1994.  I am putting in the hd version from 2003 VQ pathfinder.  Having the old beside the new, the wiring is a match for plugs and wire colors.  I pulled the whole front suspension off to get the transmission out.  Along with front axle, exhaust and all the cross members.  I have new sway a way torsion bars to install anyway.  25 years of oil was all over everything.  I am cleaning it all up and putting in a remote oil filter mount to hopefully avoid future oil dripping issues.  Any other problem areas for leaks I should look for?  I was also thinking about dropping oil pan and inspecting the crankshaft etc.  Any other "while I am in there" recommendations? I have more of my drivetrain in the driveway than in the truck right now...

I'd replace the rear main seal on the motor if you're able. Get a nissan part if possible, though.

Had someone walk up and offer me another one! Apparently she's got a '91, manual trans, new tires, couple of electrical gremlins. Sounded like the mileage was pretty low. $1k. It's out of my budget at the moment but if any of you are interested, let me know. I was just amused that WD21s are old enough to be conversation starters now.

I took off the flex plate and oil pan.  Rear main was leaking.  There is a groove in the crankshaft.  I can't seem to find a rear repair sleeve for the rear of crankshaft.  I would post a picture, but I cant figure out how to add any more... Do I have to use a 3rd party site to host pics?  Anyway. I am debating what to do.  Pull crank, deal with the leak, pull motor and rebuild, VG33 swap rationalization...

Thanks, I think I will do that when I replace the injectors.  Right now most of the truck is on the floor.  Want to put it together before I tear into the intake.

Yes, you have to host photos externally.

finally relocated that knock sensor. used one with a harness from 2001 altima. you have to break the plastic off the altima’s jack but the prongs fit just the same. no more knock sensor code now. i used one of the coolant line bolt holes and just used a longer flanged bolt.

Went to my local Pull-A-Part today and stocked up on some much-needed r50 supplies. Also grabbed some Hella Saab relays some Nissan's as well. Didn't know Hella made relays for Saab do now. Got some switches out of a 97 Mitsubishi Montero. Exact same switches Nissan uses(Niles) just slight differences. They fit perfectly. Also picked up some rear glass hinges and the rubber that sits on the bottom. Boost sensor, and 2 other emission sensors(cant think of the names) ashtray light, clock, cam sensor, diode and rear hatch bumpers. All in all a great trip.

Got the passenger side upper and lower balljoints torqued down and idler arm along with everything that needed to be rethreaded, bearing regressed and all back together. Respooled the winch and tied the tire carrier that got rammed in the snow and bent to a tree and bent it back straight.

Now on to getting an allignment again after releveling the truck, make a gas can holder to the back of the tire gate and table finally that should have been done forever ago. I've only got 7 weekends at most so should be enough time if people let me work on it.

I miss the u pull it's back home. I have yet to find a decent u pull it here around ATL. If it's a u pull it yard, its typically already been pulled, lol.
When I used to be into show quality builds, the u pull it lots were the ticket to get those "custom" pieces!
