What did you do to your Pathfinder today?

Wait until you have to change the rotors. I am planning on running my current pads/rotors to (almost) the metal. The PO said that was the 2nd set of pads on those discs, and they have noticeable ridges at the edge.

I replaced my oxygen sensor tonight. I didn't figure it would take too long.

The oxygen sensor had other ideas.

I finally completed my O2 sensor replacement today. After a several day regimen of PB blaster, driving to heat the pipe, trying the wrench on it, more PB blaster, more wrench, hit wrench with firewood log for "impact wrench," more PB blaster, more wrench/log/heating. I finally cut the wires and got the box end of the wrench on it, which helped me avoid rounding the hex part of the sensor, which was starting to happen with the open wrench.

My plan is to replace rear differential fluid today, also.

Yesterday I had my front seatbelts replaced under warranty at the dealer. No hassles at all from them!

Jacked up the rear and took the wheels off. Drooped the rear axle down and detached the shocks, panhard bar and sway bar in preparation for lift springs 7 inches of pure suspension lift is almost complete.

I'm starting to think about trying coilovers in the front with a set of superlift upper control arms :) would love to ditch the torsion bars.

New battery yesterday, tank of non ethanol today and the bastard decided not to start. Starter decided it didn't like me for about and hour then it worked and fired right up! Trying to figure out why it is happening.

Brought him into my work today and replaced my upper control arm bushings. They made it over 100k miles, so I can't complain(A/C arms). Performed a alignment and had to only add one 1 1/16 shim to the left front. No more pull! I also threw in a new fuel filter cause I'm not sure the last time I changed it!

Good to know I'm not the only one who had issues! I bought one of the open-sided sockets just for this job, and it was still rounding. A mechanic I know suggested cinching a hose clamp down around it to prevent it from spreading and slipping like it was. At the time, the best I could think of was welding the socket to the sensor, which succeeded in breaking the top off... and with the ceramic out, I was able to crush the base of it enough to break the corrosion on the threads, then back it out with the vise grips.

Finished installing my rear lift springs. The pathy now officially has 7 inches of suspension lift. Just need to put in my e brake extension brackets and get my Panhard drop bracket extended.

Might be notching my crossmember soon as well. It's starting to get pretty close at droop. :P

Driveshaft hitting it? I see signs that mine has too. I just ignore it lol.

Yeah the drive shaft is quite close to hitting it. Maybe 3/4 inch of clearance at ride height. Lol. Also going to have to make some extended rear sway bar disconnects. The sway bar is at a pretty funny angle now haha

did a graceful 360 on the way home from work last night. Hit a patch of black ice but nailed the landing. Then followed it by a look around to see if anyone was watching so I knew whether to put on my "I meant to do that" face or not.

glad all is well. That is an unwritten rule on a construction site. You do something embarrassing, first thing is to look around and make sure no one saw, then proceed to fix your mess up. Lol.

Picked up the truck from the (new) shop - a local 3rd party Nissan specialist that I'm very impressed with. The owner used to race Z cars back in the 70s and 80s, and really seems to know his stuff.

In addition to the main rear seal and oil pressure switch, they also found the neutral switch, oil pan seal, and transfer case were leaking and fixed that.

And they diagnosed the rattling noise from the back was coming from a loose sway-bar link and bushing - not the helper spring seats like the other 3rd party shop said.

I still need to order the new shocks and t-bars, but this place will install them. (They checked with one of their suppliers, and they wanted twice the price I found online for the Bilstein 4600s - but have no issues with me providing them.)

I replaced my ripped up old visors with a good J/Y pair. They are grey in my tan interior, but I think it looks good, I like the contrast...
