My 89 is down and buying a transmission for the 94 means I may not be able to get 89 fixed for some time.

I could wheel the 94 but I am paranoid of the AT right now...

I may no be going after all :(

He had one fail on him while in vancouver. swapped it for another pathy trans afaik. Don't let anything like a transmission keep you from having fun Garret!

Please copy and paste the list, then add your name. If you have friends and they are coming, put a +1(or more) just so we can get a general idea of how many are showing! They do not need a pathfinder for this run, open to everyone!

**Once again, if you are new to offroading or new to the Northwest, Tahuya is a great place to start! Trails are fairly easy(with some tough spots), but it will be wet! Come out and let your Pathfinder play!!!**

OK I'm in, I'm as ready as I'm going to get to break the seal. silverton, the side steps are off, but I'm leaving the fender flares on, unless you guys tell me it's stupid to keep them. I'll be on the easy stuff anyway...

Anyone coming from the south!!!

You are welcome to meet me at I-5 exit 99, at the Pilot station, at 8am. The drive to Belfair is just under a hour. I go up through Shelton and up highway 3. I will have my CB on that morning and I will be on channel 4. If you will need fuel, I would get it here, instead of Belfair, as its more expensive up there. There is also a MikkyD's and Subway inside if you want something to eat. 8:15 is the latest I would want to wait. You can PM me if you want my cell number otherwise.

Ok, so less than a week to go. Can we get a confimation meeting location and time to be there?

Example; Safeway parking lot off of HWY 3 in Belfair @ 10AM 9AM?

Tahuya run! Feb 19(saturday)! Meet at Belfair Safeway at 9am!

For whoever gets there first, probably want to park in the main lot over toward Starbucks. For anyone that hasn't been to Belfair, Safeway is on Hwy.3 at the only stoplight in town. They added a light about a mile South, before the town actually starts so technically we are now a 'two stoplight town'.

A little 'local knowledge' on getting to Belfair:

Unless you're driving a blown Hemi Cuda it's faster and cheaper to drive around through Tacoma than it is to take any of the ferries. The exception to this rule is that if you are North of Edmonds and you time it right it is a little bit quicker and about the same cost to to take the Edmonds/Kingston ferry and drive down the peninsula. This also gets you out of driving through downtown Seattle and it's potential traffic mess.

For those crossing the Narrows Bridge: Rather than following the 'standard directions' to Belfair that take you through Gorst take the Hwy.16 exit for Sedgewick Road. Turn left on SW Sedgewick Road. In about half a mile there is a Chevron on the right, this is typically the cheapest decent gas on the peninsula so top up here if you need it. Continue straight through the light at the Chevron. The road changes names to Glenwood Road SW and then SW Lake Flora Road. Less than a mile past the golf course on your left turn right to continue on SW Lake Flora Road. This brings you to a T intersection at Hwy.3 where you turn left and Belfair is about two miles. This "shortcut" knocks about 15 minutes off the drive and bypasses the speed trap shown on maps as the town of Gorst. :aok:

Google Map to Belfair and Tahuya ORV from Narrows Bridge

This map shows the above mentioned shortcut as well as location "C" which is the staging area/trailhead of the ORV area in case someone is late. When you get to this location the staging/parking area is to the right and the 4x4 Loop Trail is to the left. We'll roll into the main parking area to air down. If you're late, at the 'Y' about 100 feet into the trail at the big sign stay left and tune CB channel 4 to find us.
