beastpath
Found a great deal on a set of 15x8 crager soft 8's that a guy is selling off his pathfinder - however he does not know the backspacing. is there a way to measure this on the wheel? or could it be marked on there? silverton
basically, take a straight edge across the back side of the rim, and measure from the center of the wheel to the straight edge (ruler, etc) and that is the backspacing.
beastpath
thanks, hopefully these are 3.75"
MY1PATH
or 4"
beastpath
isn't 3.75 better though? 4 is neutral right? = what the stock wheels were?
KovemaN
The stock rims aren't neutral. 4" BS on an 8" wide wheel gives a neutral or 0 offset. 3.75" BS on an 8" wide wheel will give you a negative (towards the outside) 12mm offset. I believe the legos had a positive offset and therefore the centerline of the wheel is biased towards the inside of the vehicle. If you look on the inside of one of the legos there will be a number cast into the wheel and that is the offset. I believe it's 20 or 25mm. Either way, 4" or 3.75" backspacing is fine. beastpath
is 3.5 too much?
jj big shoe
It all depends on tire size and how much your truck is lifted (or how much fender you're willing to remove).
