silverton Posted May 20, 2010 Share Posted May 20, 2010 As had already been said, it won't work. In 96 every vehicle in the U.S. switched from OBD1 to OBD2. You'll notice a lot of cars also changed 'generations' that year. As far as I know, it's federally illegal to put older engines/electronics into a newer chassis.
