Exhaust Tip Tips

This is how my new tailpipe looks:

Its a 2 inch pipe and it doesn't look very nice does it?

I was thinking of either angle cutting it or just cutting it and putting a nice tip on it.

I don't want to go to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts for one because chances are the chrome on them will be gone in a few weeks.

Can anyone recommend something nice?

maybe cutting it off before the first wrinkle and adding something like this

or this

welding and tips may not go together well so i could get a clamping one

Yeah I hate how it exits to the side...

If I was to get a tip should I get a clamping one or a weld-on?

Id say weld it if you have the tools. If not just get a clampy.

If your going to weld it on, cut it so there are no nubbs on it.

If your going to get a clamp on, cut it so there is one nubb on it, that way you can make sure it doesnt fall off.

just my :my2cents: cheers!

Why is it sticking out so far in the first place?

I have a custom exhaust and a stock tailpipe from NAPA and thats how it came out.

This is the tip I got:

Hey that looks nice man, cant wait to see it on! :aok:

Just thought of another thing, if you ever bang up a clamp on, you can just get another and slap it on! =)

Just got it today, I think its going to exit more to the back instead of to the side, I am planning to cut that last whole bend off.

Could leave a "little" bit of bend and give it that 'tucked in the corner' slight angle look

I'll keep my 'hanging out in the middle of friggin nowhere' slightly cocked forward tip. And I did clean it over the weekend (yea, I cleaned my "bling". All my chrome shined for a couple hours) it will still shine and it gets killed with road grime.

i feel my sticks out far. the person who had it before me went to the dealer and had the exhaust replaced there.

Here's a shot that shows my factory tailpipe. My truck still has the original factory exhaust except for the catalytic converter. It does stick out some but I've seen a lot worse.
