Tungsten
if i can recall properly, nissan used Garrett brand turbochargers and 11 psi seems about right but i would like a second opinion here

FullThrottle
Hi I have just fitted a 2.7turbo engine tomy navara d21, i fitted a 2.5 mandrel exhaust and its running 11psi, is that normal? Its no intercooled. Also wat turbo is it i would say its an early 90s engine. Hi, I have an original Terrano R3M 2.7 Deisel. When I purchased it, it had just received a brand new turbo as the previous owner cooked it. they are Garrett turbos and I can find the specs once I dig out the receipt. NOTE: Get a turbo timer. these deisels can overheat and in the past it's been the thermostat that causes the issues. There is a new thermostat out now with a thing called a "jiggle valve" seems to do the job in mine. Cheers
Ironmask
The stock turbo is a hitachi ht12-1a on my 92..no idea what kind of boost pressure its running.
maccdaddy
Mine is running at about 8-9 psi after my new exhaust, so it looks like yours has had the boost wound up a little.
edicer2
theres probably a manual boost controler in there some where then
