PathyLE
Anybody know where I can get new gears for my Pathy? 2001 3.5 LE... AC said my gears are reverse cut or something....
87pathy
if its reverse cut, its hight pinion, i don't think you have a high pinion. Who ever you spoke to at AC was drinking the bong water.
alexrex20
the front gears are reverse cut, not the rear. why do you want rear gears? you either have 4.3s or 4.6s. you can get 4.9s out of an Xterra, or you can do 5.13 aftermarket.

What's with AC's consistent misinformation...? Like Alex said, only the front is reverse cut. The rear is not.

tekazgtr1984
r u serious? Seeing as how it's Alex, I'd say he is. I'm pretty sure the VQ-powered R50's only came with 4.3 gears.

tekazgtr1984
I will make you a deal on some 4.6s!! It's only a matter of swapping in the 4.6's, right?
tmorgan4
Yep...it's a pretty simple install since they are already installed so you won't need gears set up. Just pull out the old 3rd member on the rear and swap in the new one. The whole front differential unbolts and the entire unit would be replaced with mine. The bigger question is how to get them there....they are heavy!
