filter relocation help

I would like to relocate my oil filter. Does anyone have pictures of their different setups? I would like to know what brand and what vehicle its for. I would like to mount my filter under the hood with the bottom facing up preferably (like on old rx7s)

I would like something I could walk into a parts store and order, Parts stores in my town are Autozone (I dont like our local autozone though), O'reiles, advance auto, car quest, and napa. Part #s would help too if you have them. Basicially, I want to change my oil at 6k miles since Im using fully synthetic but I still want to change my filter at 3. Plus I dont like spiling the oil all over the frame where it does.

Any pics of where you mounted the filter would help. Thanks!

i believe the manufacturer of my kit was transadapt. I mounted mine on the top of the wheel well. Do a search for oil filter relocation and my thread will come up. Many others have posted their installs too. I can't recall if anyone had put on on an R50. maybe maxstryker, but it seems he's more concerned with taking stuff off his truck

I tried to install one on Pezzy's truck, and was not able to mount the filter adapter to the engine block. There simply was not enough room. It seems the filter typically used on the R50 is the max diameter you can fit in there, and the filter adapter is slightly larger, thus, it did not fit.

Yeah, who has one on an R50? It is tight in there. I can reach it pretty easily now that I dropped the subframe 4"- but now I want custom skids and that'll potentially be a new access problem. Here's the room I've got now:

man that power steering hp line looks scary. as for installing the relo kit onto the r50. i think when you would try to spin it on it would hit the oil pan. simple solution is to remove the oil sending unit i think its called (the thing the oil filter screws onto) then screw on the relo kit and bolt it back up.

I got the BP skids and they need to be removed for each change. Thinking of making a little access door (bolt on) like they have on heavy duty equipment so the entire skids do not have to be taken off.

It looks also like there's not enough clearance between the oil filter plate and the power steering pump bracket to install a relocation kit.

orileys told me that they can get me one in, I just have to know what vehicle I need to order it for.

I thought some people with r50s had them installed. So no one does?
