You get 18mpg Dean? That's about the best I've heard of anyone.

No way! If I keep it under 65mph, maybe I'll get about 16mpg. I was figuring SaKaNa's mileage, being mostly stock.

For me, Moab is about 1000 miles away. No short distance, but certainly much closer than those who live on the eastern seaboard.

Just because your r50 is stock does not mean that you can't do Moab. I ran stock down there for almost a year before I started building my rig up. I did alot of hard trails and really never hit something that was too hard, or that I could not just drive around. Don't let the storys/pictures scare you away, we can always pull you through the tough stuff.

I hope that tons of r50's end up coming, lift or no lift Moab is unbeatable.

I agree with Dean. You have 5 months to plan and save up.

I am planning on one tank of gas to get down there, and I will have the money ready. J/K Not like you have to stay in a hotel. There are plenty of camp sites.

So for me, lets assume $300 each way for gas, and a day and a half each way. When I'm driving long distances I for some reason cant stand sitting somewhere eating, so I just eat junk while I drive, so the cost per day of food is minimal, and if I were to keep supplies on the roof, there would be plenty of room in the back for sleeping, saving money on the cost of staying somewhere overnight.

It seems like the entire thing would run around $1000-$1500 for me, at most. But I'd have to fix so many things before then, it would be almost impossible... We'll see.

Here's the way I'd prioritize your list:

1. 4.6 gears (sitting in garage awaiting installation)

2. Sliders

3. AC coils

4. Pro Comp rear shocks

5. Front skid and transmission pan skid

6. Exhaust

7. Custom spacer lift

oh it wasnt really in any particular order, but i kinda would like to get the spacer lift on before i get a front skid. no point in getting a front skid then having to ditch it for a different one.

but yeah those gears will be doing in shortly. just need to find a scissor jack and some time. and a garage heater.

if i had to prioritize it would be

gears

all the new lift conponents

sliders (dont need them til moab anyways)

skids

exhaust

Hey Alex,

Where'd you get the gears?

Oh yeah add to that list/cost TJM bumper (A/C bb) Talk about timing, I think I need to jump on that cause this will probably be the only chance at a great opportunity like that :o

Dear Santa,

Send more money then previously asked.... :help:
