    UPDATE

As suggested I changed the oring. Here is the picture of the area cleaned and with oring replaced. Will post new picture un about 4 weeks to see if it keeps leaking.

Do you have p/n or link of the oring... I guess it is the same problem I'am having

  2. We were on a family trip and suddenly alternator symbolon the dash lighted….the bracket that support the pulley of the fan had separated on two pieces:  the body was still connected to the motor and the axle with the fanclutch with the cooling fan were hanging down.

Afer we get towed to the destination, I removed the remaining bracket from the motor and delete that pulley. I had to cut one end of the bracket to use it as a spacer to the steering pump mount (the pump mounts over the bracket). With this setup I used a shorter belt to drive the truck back to the city (+-150Km).

What impressed me was that the truck has not overheated (ext temp around 25°C), driving 2k rpm max and with full hot air on the inside…. Or maybe the temp gauge is bad??

Well, I have installed a new bracket (nissan p/n 21046-4W000) + new fan clutch (NPW # N-94F)… at the moment I found the fan clutch much louder than the original one with 275.000Km.

  3. Hi, I have been doing some maintenance and repairs the last couple of months to the pathy (260.000 km):

    - Changed front struts, replacing the 10 yrs old rancho 5000 with the standard kyb's.
    - Changed rear struts with Bilstein 33185569 to replace 7 yrs old procomp's.
    - Rear door and window (tailgate) lift supports replaced with monroe 901683 and stabillus SG371001
    - Replaced front driver window motor with ACDELCO 11M235.
    - Replaced reverse switch with nissan one (32005-21U1B)... now I have a backup lights!. While I was doing that I replaced the manual transmission bushing.
    - Changed front original stabilizer links (Sankei 555 brand).
    - Repleced broken antenna mast with nissan one (28215-9B000)
    - Replaced tailgate Nissan emblem (90891-5W500)..vandalized some time ago.
    - Front brake pads replaced with Akebono ASP691. Previous set of Akebono's lasted 75.000 km (!).
    - Rear brake shoes replaced & drum resurfaced ( at least 110.000Km without service)

Estos me gustan más que los sensores de fábrica. Como funcionan? Los sensores quedan por dentro de la llanta? Es ajustable la alerta de presión?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Funcionan igual que los de fabrica, con un sensor en el interior de la llanta. Si, la alerta se puede ajustar.

    More info please?

    Sure,

the install it is about the same as the previous one I had. You only have to cut a small part of the slot and the display fits nicely and keep in place just with pressure. I glued the display frame to the center console becasuse the "hooks" on it are designed for newer nissans (?) and I wanted to be sure that the display wont go inside.

I haven't buyed mine from amazon but here you can find it:

  6. Dear All,

    Long time without posting....

Well, I want to share the new tpms system I've installed on the pathy. The previous one had a non replaceable battery on the sensors, so when they all finally died all the sensors went useless.

Here is the previous installation link:

    TPMS V1.0

I found a tmps system, that can be mounted and have the dimensions of the switches that are not used on the dashboard... and the batteries of the sensors can be repleaced!

    take a look:

  7. Hi,

This combo exists, see my pathy below, but I don't know if this configuration it is quite common on USA.

    IMG_1397.jpg

Been shopping around for a very specific combination of features on a 3.5L toting pathy but not coming up with any FS hits anywhere I look... Makes me wonder if it exists?

I'd really like have a manual shifter for my transfer case and a manual transmission as well... Seems this combo is easily found in 3.3vg r50's but suddenly they are all automatic trannies and seemingly mostly switch controlled transfer cases 2001-on...

So question one... Does the desired combo even exist in the 2001-2004 3.5vq model years...

And question 2, if not, will a manual from behind a 3.3vg have a bell housing that will mount up to the backside of a 3.5 vq block(or can a bell housing be pulled from another car/truck that would make the conversion possible/easy)?

I'm currently in an '81 Datsun 720 with yet another blown head n would really just like to get into a pathy period... Be it wd21 or R50... But if R50, I'd really prefer the additional power offered by the 3.5vq. I've even contemplated stripping a junker of harness, engine, n all, and just making the swap into my 720... But that comes with all sorts of fun referee approvals and smog regulations here in California snd don't earn me the additional seating updated interior features... But that's a whole diff project and more than I want to really get into)

  8. So after having my SFD lift on for about 8 months I decided to make a missing link to stiffen up the sub frame. Since no one makes them I had to. I don't have pictures yet but will soon. One question I have. Has anyone had shaking from the front after having the lift? Also if anyone is interested in a link I would be happy to make and sell them.

Hi, I had shaking when bracking... sfd was becoming loose, so I welded it and everything is fine now.

  9. So ever since i mounted my 31 on my truck i notice my spare doesnt fit underneath and hits my panhard bar. So i was going to get a basket and mount it on to the roof but my friend says that on his xj he lost somewhere from 4-6 mpg with the tire mounted up there I was wondering if any of our members that have theres mounted on the roof have had any problems with this and can shed some light on this for me otherwise i will be spare less lol.

Hi i am running on 32" (265/75) And relocating one of the spare tire brackets and trimming a little bit the rear fender the tire fits perfect without rubbing the panhard.

  10. So we cut off the top pig tail to make it fit into the upper support, and need the adapter to get the bottom to fit. Would just cutting the bottom pig tail off too work as well then?

Hi, The internal diameter between wj coils and pathy coils are really close but not exactly the same... I really dont remember if the difference is a problem on the bottom support (I dont think so).

I used the adaptor because that way I add 1.5" from the original support to the lift (see pic) and another 1 or 2" from the pig tail lenght of the spring not cutting the bottom. This way you can do a 4" lift with a 2 or 3" lifting wj spring... the other way you need to found a 4 or 5" wj lifting spring.

    2011_09_10_Levante%252520Path_175.jpg

looking at the springs we have and the diameter i cant think of a single reason why cutting the pigtails wouldnt work

It should work... just need a longer spring if the diameter is not a problem.

What's the advantage of cutting both pigtails off the springs? Doesn't that make them too short?

I dont know... maybe for some people add additional harwware to the pathy is an issue

I'm just brainstorming ideas of how to lift it. For the front I pretty much know the options due to having struts up there, but if I can fab a jeep coil to work for me in the rear, then my options open up immensely. There are a lot more Jeeps in my local 4x4 group than anything else, so maybe theyve got some old lift coils that they dont need, and I can use em for me~ If they dont need their old 4" lift coils, and I cut the tails off it to use in mine, then I essentially might end up with a 2ish inch lift for me. Plus if they're older they wont settle any more than the day I put them in (theoretically). I'm at 15-year-old-saggy-spring-height right now, so anything's better than that.

    This should work! Good luck.

  11. Just wanted to clarify, in order to run WJ coils in the back, did you have to get the adapter? They wont just fight right in on their own? Thanks!

    Hi,

On the back you sit one tail pig down to an adapter because it will not fit the original location. Pig Tail diameter is smaller than the original location support.

  12. Sure!

We'll visit Torres del Paine, and I also would like to know La Carretera Austral, but I'm afraid we won't have enough time to do it at this trip. Good plan for another one !

We are also afraid of the lack of gas in some regions of Argentina, do you have any advice about south of Chile ?

    Regards,

    Fernando

    Hi Fernando,

Good news, your trip is real close!! Sorry for my late reply but I have not ralized that you have posted here..

In Chile there is no problem with gas, you can take a look this site in advance to check gas stations and price:

    http://www.bencinaen...or.php?region=3

For argentinean routes you can download Proyecto mapear set of maps for garmin gps (they have some Chilean routes as well):

    http://www.proyectomapear.com.ar

Some sites of Chilean 4x4 if you need some help from fellow jeepers on this side of the world:

    twistedandes.com

    blockeados4x4.cl

Well, good luck and have a nice trip!!!

    Rgds
