I am getting confused about the oil type and grade I have to use in my 2000 Pathy R50 VG33e... Reading about oil grade... All of you or most part of you (Pathfinder users) use 5w30 or 10w30 oil... But here (in Colmbia) I asked in some forums and they use 20w50 or similar... And they use mineral oil... I asked some mecanics... And they said you can use 20w50 or 10w30...
Here in Bogotá (2600 meters altitude) we have dry and rain season... Temperature almost never goes down 0 celcius... And is difficult to have 28c or 30c... But if you drive two hours out of the city you can have 25c to 40c... And you woul be at 1000 meters altitude... Or you ca reach sea level and great summer weather at 4 hours ride....
Should I use 10w30 or 20w50... Mineral, synthetic or semi... Thanks!

It looks good! Isn't it funny how you say you won't modify it, then this site ruins that?
Hahahaha that's what i said almost a year ago....

Nice ride.!!! And great photos..!

I like what you did there. We have a rear-facing carseat for our newborn positioned on the middle of the rear seat, and don't want our dog, or any other potential object hitting her in the event of a rapid braking maneuver.

Maybe a small leak... Almost a six months ago that happend to me... It was a loosen screw...
In the coolant reservoir the level was ok, but in the radiator was a little down.... I tighten al the screws and when I was doing that one hoose was humid... That's where I found the leak that affected the temperature.

I have torn my Rockford CV boots. They are not bullet proof.
+1 me too.
Which cv boots are you using?

I just bought my external CV joints, Nissan's, and they look like the ones they sell online...

Talking to my mechanic and the guy from the alignment service place, they agree with the rotation, balance and aligment of the wheels... It has to be done every 5000km... Because of th characteristics of our roads, weather, etc...

Just go Rockford. There have been zero issues with those who have installed them. They cost a little more but are built to a higher standard.

How much do they last? In months or miles?
Thanks.

I just install new coil springs on my pathy... Using same tires... Something similar happend to me... Sometimes at low speed 30km/h or high speed 60-80km/h the steering wheel started to vibrate... Yesterday i went to align an re-balance tires and problem solved.

I just changed my inner cv boots for Nissan's, they where really really expensive... Almost 70 dolars (COP$200.000), and the outer cv boots for OEM or i don't know the brand for 7 dolars (COP$7.000).. really cheap.... But the Nissan's plastic seems much better that the cheap ones...
I have read good comments about Rockford cv boots....
I found these silicone and neoprene boots... http://www.autozone.com/drivetrain/cv-boot-kit#
Or these HippoRed, from Italy... http://www.hippored.com/?portfolio=cuffia-facile-easy-boot-cv&lang=en
Which could be a good quality cv boot and with a reasonable price?
