  1. I'm still waiting for the ecu ignition and key the guy has it but he's being slow...he cut the wiring harness but I found one at the junkyard in good shape so I'm gonna grab that one Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  2. So I sold my trailblazer tonight which means I finally have money to continue this build so I will be ordering a crap ton of parts tomorrow and I'm sure the ups guy won't be to happy with all the boxes...oh well anyway below is the list of parts being orders I have my guy finishing my SFD kit this week so I need all associated parts with that...I will be adding the 2" lift coils along with that and the wj springs for the rear along with the F250 shocks New rack & pinion Extended brake lines Steering shafts extension 35x12.50x15's Wheel spacers all the way around Smittybilt 10k winch w/ synthetic rope Mile marker manual hubs Rock sliders I'm also in the process of trying to figure out an exhaust...I'm thinking about high flow cats with cherry bombs but I'm not real sure...also I've seen a couple other write ups of someone running 350z headers so I'm thinking about that as well... And provided money doesn't run out I'm gonna run a k&n cold air intake Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  3. Do you live in the local area where they make stuff...I've heard a lot of bad things such as it taking 6-8 months just for 1 bumper and bad welds...I couldn't imagine waiting for 2 bumpers from them Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  4. The ecu is under the drivers side dash and it's obd2 because of the post 96 so you need to buy an obd2 scanner tool...if you have a Droid then you can get one on ebay for like $20 and buy the tourqe app ($4) and your good to go will tell you everything you need to know...have you checked any of the relays under the hood when you checked the fuses...there are certain relays like the anti theft and if it's not working the car will not even turn over to accerories working i had that problem took me like 2 weeks to figure out...also you're going to have a fuel pump relay you want to check as well Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  5. This is cdn's truck below...he had some custom side brackets made to cover a little bit more than the bumper did also a pic of the reinforcement because it's far from bolt up and the mounting brackets are gonna have to be welded if you want any kind of support Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for your help on this reply! I'm on the road driving 1100 miles back home to Kansas tonight Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  7. The rough country Xj bumper...same one a few others on here have already mounted...check out cdn s4 build thread or theexbrit Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  8. Did some more work tonight...took the starter off and then took the stock front bumper off...was trying to get a good look of what it would look like with the new bumper but that didn't work out to well...tomorrow I'm gonna try to get the driveshafts removed and the exhaust unbolted then I'll remove the bolts to the transmission...trying to have my engine out this weekend...we shall see! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  9. Lol I don't have room in my garage it's barely big enough for one car let alone a car 2 engines and transmissions Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  10. Got my bumper today! Once I get the truck running again I'm gonna drive down to my buddy's house to get this installed (aka reinforced so it doesn't fall/rip off) Should be getting the tranny disconnected by the end of the weekend so hopefully I should be able to pull the engine out Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  11. Unfortunately not...honestly your best bet is to find someone local and see if you can get it fabricated that way...that's what I'm doing for my rear bumper...where are you located? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  12. So did a little work tonight Pulled the radiator and alternator and a couple belts off Got the wiring harness disconnected from the motor...now I gotta disconnect the transmission and the mounting bolts and she'll hopefully be out by the end of the weekend! 13. As far as your ball joints the 50-60 ball park sounds about right and I've yet to come across grease able ball joints for our truck...if you go with a heavy spring it's just gonna give you a stiffer ride...there isn't to much in the way of lifting...a lot of people do go with the OEM struts and they work just fine...also Steve fluery who is a member on here sells spacers you can buy at a pretty decent price (4x4design.com) and you can get some lift that way...anything more than a 1.5-2 inches you will blow out your cv's so you'd have to do a sub frame drop...many people on here have done anywhere from 2-4 inch subframe drops and they work great...one guy I think even did a 9" sfd but that was crazy...you'll find mixed emotions on the rancho shocks some people have had great luck others not so much but you can't go wrong with the kyb knes Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. I would strongly recommend against TAG...I did a lot of research when I first got my pathfinder and they were the only people I could find to make any sort of anything bumper wise...after doing research on the company I8've seen a lot of mixed reviews...there seems they work more for you if you live in the local area...if you don't expect a 6-8 month wait for your bumper and you may or may not get good welds on it...as for your storage in the back I built mine not that long ago... It's got a slide our drawer and three doors on hinges took about a day to build 1 2x4 and a sheet and a half of OSB...I think all together maybe $30-40 for everything... Wheels...I run 15x8 pro comp 51 series with 31x10.50's...I can see where some people have had issues with 15's rubbing the calipers idk why but I've been fortunate and haven't had this issue yet and I've had new brake pads with the wheels If you have any other questions feel free to ask a lot of us are always on here can't seem to get aways (very addicting) Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  15. I did stop leak for my valve covers...after replacing they still leaked and it worked for about 4-5 months...I know this isn't the same leak your talking about but just to give you a general idea Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks! I tried to start on removing things tonight but that didn't happen...I've got a week and a half off starting next week so all I'm doing every day is as much as I can to get this old engine out Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  17. Besty got her new heart tonight!!!! 2001 3.5 with 120k miles on it... transmission and transfer case as well I've begun the process of stripping the old engine and it's gonna be a couple weeks before I pull the motor because I'm also doing my subframe drop in the process which will be easier with the motor out and I'm currently waiting for that to be made and I still have to order more parts...however I will keep posting on here as I go through the process...it's gonna be a fun future ahead for myself! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  18. Number 4 sounds the best! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  19. I run 31x10.50's right now on mine and she runs good...I had to do minimal trimming to the inner plastic wheel wells to prevent rubbing but other than that no issues and been running these tires for over a year now...I started out with them on stock wheels had more issues when I switched to the pro comps and that's when I trimmed...really easy tho took like 10 minutes Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. Picking up this engine tomorrow if anyone wants to keep up with the status of this is will be in the "Betsy" build Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  21. Just the engine transmission ecu and tranny control unit...I'm getting nervous though that my guy isn't gonna come through I'm supposed to pick it up Sunday and haven't heard from hom Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  22. HiLift installed! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  23. Just got back from talking to the guy about the spacers for my SFD and what was sitting on my porch?!?! Should get the mounts for my roof rack in a few days...also this weekend I'm picking up my 3.5 engine and tranny with 120k miles on it to replace my 205k 3.3 so it should be an interesting adventure getting everything switched over to the newer better engine Also in the process of replacing every brake line on her and the brake booster along with a master cylinder...I hate brakes Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  24. Where'd you get that poly spring insulator Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  25. I won't be able to...he is using it as a parts car as well for his other pathfinder he just doesn't need the motor or tranny Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
