  1. Project Pathfinder blew its trans on the Mojave Road this weekend.

Has a trans cooler. Guess I forgot. A new rad and an e-fan conversion was already its its future. The stock 93 radiator can't hold its own in 100 degree summer heat. When we get there we'll see about a new trans cooler and maybe a temp gauge.

Good question. I will have to look next time I got out there. It was very cool out when it went, and it had been sitting for a while, so it surprised me.

Moto IQ told us this trans was better than the Xterra trans. When we eventually pull it I'll be curious to see what happened. Hope the Xterra trans can hold up.

  4. will 31x10.50 A/Ts fit on stock rims and won't rub

If your suspension is sagging a lot they will rub, but 31x10.50 was an optional stock size for many pathfinders.

That being said my dad did try prerunning with it earlier this year, we were catching over a foot of air before I told him we should slow down.

I was driving on flat ground in the snow. I looked at the torsion bars when it was on a lift last, all ok.

  12. Sway bars..? Keep 'em or Ditch 'em??? or make Disconnects?

    1. 92Path_68CJ

      92Path_68CJ

I highly recommend discos. You really need sway bars in emergency type maneuvers, not cruising the street. With Disconnects you'll still have them on the street. And how long does it really take to disconnect them?

  13. I got the best recorded mileage, from my rig today. All freeway, I got 22. To think of it what is the usual mpg for city and freeway for the vg30e engine? I get 14-16 in city and 19-22 on freeway.

22 Highway? On flat ground? How is your rig setup? That sounds like nice highway MPG.
