  1. no. stock. gonna change brushes just for the hell of it and see what it'll do. if it still doesnt work ill just put my other one in.
  2. mine just started acting up today as well. gauge was reading about 14 yesturday. now barely 12 with everything off.
  3. first job ever was detassling corn. im a certified yamaha tech but im currently a rv mechanic.

  5. strange ive never heard a autotrans make a whinning noise. my pwr steering pump does though when cold. but my trans is slow to go into drive and sometimes the converter wants to unlock and lock at cruise sometimes. but other then that it shifts fine when taking off. im guessing the converter is bad? lol. strange...
  6. did i mention i dont like the 4 doors as well? lmao!

  9. not out here. all the ones at pull-a-part were picked clean! and no red. and i mean one for sale. i picked mine up for 1000 bucks. i also searched for over a year untill i finally found tweeter a-pillars for my hb. didnt get to put them in last year cuz it got wrecked. but i still have them for my pathy now.
  10. good idea on the tail gate. and the red is awesome. i searched for ever till i finally found a maroon on maroon or "rapist red"pathy. also cuz all of my salvaged parts from my wrecked 87 hb were that color.

  13. fuel pump,fuel filter,regulator,injectors. have you checked those? any codes?
  14. i know its different trans v6 truck 2wd to v6 pathy 4wd. but not too sure about the 4 cylinders.
  15. sorry i kinda mis read your post. so you wanna put the vg in a truck that had a 4 cylinder? im pretty sure the vg will bolt up to the auto. not sure if they used a different trans for the manual 4 cylinders or not. someone will chime in im sure. but no fab work. just ecu swap and harness i believe. im sure someone or here has done the swap.
  16. just a couple screws. put a pin or a pick through the hole on the linkage to hold the throttle back to get it on easier. that spring is REAL STIFF! dont lose the black plastic spacers!
  17. yes they do. but i dont think your suppose to open it when hot. i personally never had to use it to bleed air. but i do know when you do get air in the colling system the idle will hunt up and down alot until that air bubble is gone. but yes he needs to replace the wax element then adjust it for fast idle and base idles.
  18. plunger? you mean the high idle adjuster? there should be a couple marks on there that you line up when cold and hot. but that shouldnt push in and out freely. idle in drive should be about 750. first line on the left of the pulley is o dergrees. then 5 then 10 and so on. make sure its warm no accessorys on in drive and adjust idle. the adjust timing. put it at 15 degrees btdc.
