  1. I suppose then a 3" SL and 2-3" BL for now will do for now. So a 4" SL requires much more custom fabbing or is it just that kit?
  2. I meant a z31 engine with a z31 ecu or just the idea of using the same ecu the donor engine came from. Isnt that how they run engines in a dyno?
  3. Looks good . If it were me I would have run the light bar differently similar to this Link but that's just my opinion.
  4. Just curious if I were to get an engine from say a z31 and I had the matching ecu what kind of wiring would be needed to be done. Wouldnt it just run off the old ecu apart from the other work like mounting the engine, hooking up the fuel and cooling lines. Would it just be a few wires that need to be done?
  5. This might sound abit stupid but do you have to remove the spark plugs to remove the intake manifold because with it still on the block its hard to see where the manifold meets the head/block
  6. There's quite a few on ebay maybe its worth checking there? Unless its urgent and you cant wait for postage
  7. Damn for a second i thought you meant sunshine coast in Australia. We need more Aussies on here
  8. Yeh degrease your engine and you could even do a compression check those tools come by really cheap, Also check your radiator cap and look for any signs of oil or creamish brownish colors
  9. It also does the injectors and fuel lines if you pour it through the fuel tank. This is according to the manufacturer ive yet to try out sea foam as we don't have it in Australia but i will be getting some from ebay sometime this year.
  10. Saw this on the thread about sea foam yesterday i think

    Headgasket

If I had the time I would get the blocked removed and hot tanked but unfortunately that's not an option. Yeh I plan on cleaning the surface till its just about bare metal without actually harming the metal so like just removing the old gasket and stuff on top of it. That sludge should be from the headgasket failure where the oil and coolant mixes. In some places of the head it was a creamish yellowish colour which is caused from just that. We dont have seamfoam in Australia unfortunately and ive had a hard time trying to find it online maybe some oil flush? Im planning on steam cleaning the head after that I can see properly for cracks and any warping Yeh definatley even if i didn't run any detergents because now the oil is thick and has all sorts of junk in it that would be harmful to the engine and the water needs to be replaced with coolant too. So yeah ill flush the oil and water so i can eventually run it on coolant again and after the head has been cleaned ill oil up the camshaft so it doesn't start out dry. With that slight rust should i just leave it be. Once again many thanks for all the help guys.

    Headgasket

Hey, decided to put this in Off-Topic cause its not a pathy. Ok so im doing a head gasket on a 2000 Daewoo nubira X20sed engine (175,000 kilometers) apparantly its GM? anyways here are some pictures without the head just woundering how would i remove the gunk through the oil and coolant passages and in cylinder 3 the cylinder wall has a very slight rust spot. Cylinder 1 is on the left Coolant Passage (Was ran on water last) Oil Passage Cylinder 1 Cylinder 2 Cylinder 3 Cylinder 4 I had a quick look at the gasket and saw that the gasket blew at cylinder 4. I cleaned the engine before i took the pictures but before the whole top of the piston in cylinder 4 was filled with that mixture of oil and coolant. But yeh if anyone has any tips on cleaning the passages and also removing that rust from the cylinder wall that would be great. The engine does turn over and im going to thoroughly clean the head and steam clean it if i can get my steam cleaner running. Cheers
  13. Snow? Too bad i live in Australia haha
  14. Definatley rectangular lights, It complements the light bar with that blocky design rather than smooth edges
  15. Just out of curiosity, Why? did you sell your pathy or something.
  16. Put it up for auction and see if you can get a decent price otherwise retract the item. I wouldn't part a car if i didn't own the land it stayed on things can get messy
  17. No worries just remember that you cant use that one unless your running that specific carburetor as the openings are different for each carburettor with the exception of a few. This should however get you on the right track of having a snorkel on a carby
  18. If your air cleaner is stock you could weld the piping to adapt or build a kind of box that bolts down as the air cleaner would and converts it accept a pipe something like this: Link 1 or Link 2
  19. What kind of head unit is that? ive seen a few around but don't recall any brands. Pretty handy media wise as its only one din
  20. That and from what i hear most cant even provide enough suction to have any effects on the engine so if anything your probably starving our engine of air flow.
