  1. Picked up a 1993 pathfinder SE with every single damn option available except heated seats. 5 Spd manual and it's an american truck from texas so 100% rust free! Pretty rare up here in BC, canada. Picked it up for the girlfriend as a fixer upper, so far 800$ spent in total including truck and tow and we got almost everything to fix it up. just tune up parts left to go! stoked! we will both have pathys to go wheeling now . :)

If you don't know when it was last changed, just do a complete fluid exchange and overfill through the shifter hole to ensure proper capacity. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/2621-manual-transmission-tsb/

Put on the 31s today, refurbished the rear discs (yes it has rear discs!) I'm jealous.... cleaned it up, swapped power steering pump...no more strong ARM!! Needs tie rods and a center link, and a timing belt kit and she should be good to go! :) I figure 1200-1300 total cost after truck, tow, and all parts, and this will be one nice solid truck!!!

  2. Picking up my 1992 Infinity Q45 tomorrow... VH45DE for my z32 and all the chassis bits for my s13... This is going to be a fun couple of weeks. :D Pathy is finally off the road getting ready for lockers and round dash interior swap.

??? All you have to do is replace the plastic guides with metal guides per the factory service bulletin. VERY EASY fix. other than that the VH45DE is better in every single way. Plus 330hp 310 lb ft stock power and 400+ with a tune can't really be beat on a fully forged and built/balanced from the factory NA motor.

By all means if they have metal guides available go for it.

Yeah they are about 60 bucks on ebay. 100 or so from the dealer. I'm sure Alkorahil can hook me up though :)

  3. Found a VH45DE motor, ecu, and wiring harness for 250$ at the wreckers today! Project V8 300ZX Slicktop is a go!! Pulling the motor tomorrow!!

  4. Just did the 120k service for my 1990 300ZX. Wow I am a little sore, good to be done. That was a big job...

  5. thought my alternator packed it in, realised the power wire bolt was loose, yay :)

  6. finished rekeying my locks. finally one key for the whole rig and i can open my hatch glass now and unlock my truck if the battery dies again. lol.

  7. Successfully replaced and rekeyed my driver and passenger door locks to match my ignition, now just the rear hatch glass and glovebox and i will have one key for my whole truck! finally, the way it should be! :P anyone want a how-to?

      Nefarious

I was thinking about doing that as well! I have a 240sx and 300zx, would be nice to have one key for them all. I took pictures along the way, ill do up a how to.

  8. okay, well... here goes my attempt at rekeying all my locks to match my ignition key! :P

  9. Well the crappy aftermarket keyless entry my truck came with just failed and my door locks are all mismatched and broken. yay for no access to my truck. Guess it's time to finally hit the JY and get some locks with a key that works and a compustar or viper installed. Haven't been looking forward to this day. lol

    2. Nefarious

      Nefarious

haha yeah if you don't use your back seats then that would make the most sense. i on the other hand use my back seats a lot! lol

    3. rwd5021

      rwd5021

Ya my dogs are the only ones who use my back seat lol.

  13. Finally fixed the hinge bushings in my spare tire carrier. Wow what a pain.. upper hinge pin was easy, bottom one took some serious help to get out. Got er all done and no more rattle going over bumps!! Finally opens and closes properly too. It even opens itself once the latch is released! So cool ...

Don't forget to add zerk fittings and keep that thing greased.

    2. Nefarious

      Nefarious

yeah thats not a bad idea. Although it does have the little needle fitting spot, I would be a lot more inclined to do it if I had a zerk on there. lol

  14. Went to fit a front skid plate to my truck, it was missing... Now I see why... all 6 bolts broken off flush...useless 6 MM bolts holding it in... drilled them out to 8MM holes and re tapped. These shouldnt break! :)

  15. Picked up a mint 95 pathy steering box and front skid plate today at the wreckers for 50 bucks. Cleaned and painted black and ready to go on tomorrow. :D

      Trogdor636

I'm assuming thats one from Home Depot correct?

    2. Nefarious

      Nefarious

yeah i just returned it actually as canadian tire had the mig pak 180 on sale for 629, down from the 699 weld pak 180 from home depot. they are both exactly the same in every respect except the mig pak 180 also comes with an extra welding shield the other pack didn't have. so got a hand held welding shield for a friend as well as saved 70 bucks which bought me an auto shading helmet and new gloves/chipping hammer at princess auto. win!!! the 240v plug should be wired up today,...

    3. Nefarious

      Nefarious

stoked i already had the proper wire run in the house so it just required 27.35$ in electrical parts and a buddy electrician. cheapest part of the whole process so far getting the 240v plug

  18. Welded up some proper exhaust hangers for my custom 2.5 inch exhaust today. Now it's in there nice and tight. Also welded up the floor of my sisters Chevette.... one of the front seat bolts tore off bringing a 3x3 piece of sheet metal with it...sigh....
