  1. Just graduated a couple of weeks ago and just got a call with my first interview from the job I wanted the most. Here's hoping!!

  2. Just mounted a rear tire carrier on my truck that didn't come with one. Took me all freakin day and a sore back but it's done. Made all custom bolt-in 1/4 inch plate brackets. Turned out AWESOME and it is so strong, no play at all with my 33x12.5 mounted on back. Yay for trunk space again.....

  3. Just ordered my Hi/Low beam HID kit (4300k) for my 93 Pathy, say goodbye lame factory headlights! Can't beat 64$ shipped for the whole kit!

  4. Just picked up a Lincoln Weld-Pak 180HD MIG/flux core combo. Can't wait to do some real burning!

yeah i just returned it actually as canadian tire had the mig pak 180 on sale for 629, down from the 699 weld pak 180 from home depot. they are both exactly the same in every respect except the mig pak 180 also comes with an extra welding shield the other pack didn't have. so got a hand held welding shield for a friend as well as saved 70 bucks which bought me an auto shading helmet and new gloves/chipping hammer at princess auto. win!!! the 240v plug should be wired up today,...

stoked i already had the proper wire run in the house so it just required 27.35$ in electrical parts and a buddy electrician. cheapest part of the whole process so far getting the 240v plug

  5. Just picked up a rear axle from a 95 Pathy SE with disc brakes, limited slip, and e brake cables for 50$!!!! Can't wait to swap this bad boy in.... No more open diff, drum brakes, and broken e brake cable. Three birds with one stone. :)

  6. lower intake manifold clean and new gaskets, cleaned lifter area and valve covers, new valve cover seals and grommets.....tomorrow is injector seals and o rings, fuel rail grommets and upper plenum gasket and intake plenum back on. progress is being made!

  7. man 16$ for ultra low profile bump stops made a huge difference in my ride. i have down travel again! woo! smoothed out the ride huge on the road.. just some balljoint spacers and upper control arms and i might have some real front flex!

    2. Nefarious

      Nefarious

I got an SE axle from a 95 pathy that had Limited slip and disc brakes, swapped the whole rear axle over. The springs are yellow tag jeep grand Cherokee springs with the pigtail bent out to be about 18" tall unloaded.

  11. Nissan Terrano 2.7 turbo diesel for sale just down the road from me... It has a failing auto... Anyone know if the regular pathy auto will bolt up? totally different transmission im guessing? I could get it for 2 grand or less I want to know if I will be able to find a tranny!!

    1. Nefarious

      Nefarious

only 77k KILOMETERS on the odo... does the regular pathy auto or 5 speed bolt up to the diesel? or would i need to import a transmission??

      Slartibartfast

This is the only pic I could find of a Terry trans: http://www.sulit.com.ph/index.php/view+classifieds/id/2228240/Nissan+Terrano+(Automatic+Transmission)#imageGallery I dunno what the Pathy transmissions look like though, couldn't find an end-shot in the FSM.

      Nefarious

hm thanks for that image... i must try and find a transmission code for it...hmmm

  12. oh how I love exhaust work.... *sigh* at least it will sound good... OBX headers 2" outlets, to 2.5" after the y pipe, to a 2.5" high flow magnaflow cat, 2.5" flowmaster 40 to a side exit in front of driver side rear tire.

  13. Okay back home to the island. Goals for next few days: Finish reinforcing idler arm, finish welding up a double shear idler arm brace. Figure out how to mount the rear tire carrier I just got, mount new front full bull bar front guard with light guards (think maybe from an r50). Also looking for new lift springs. Need more lift! to go 5.9 JGC or 3" lift cherokee springs. Anyone know how long the 3" lift cherokee springs are??? 20 inches would be ideal...

  14. okay, well... here goes my attempt at rekeying all my locks to match my ignition key! :P

  15. Okay... rear of frame modified to move rear steel bumper up 3" to match body lift... Front r50 light guard started cutting apart to make it fit the wd21.. this is gunna look good... straightened the pigtails on some JGC springs.... this is going to be a seriously productive weekend. :D

  19. Picked up a 1993 pathfinder SE with every single damn option available except heated seats. 5 Spd manual and it's an american truck from texas so 100% rust free! Pretty rare up here in BC, canada. Picked it up for the girlfriend as a fixer upper, so far 800$ spent in total including truck and tow and we got almost everything to fix it up. just tune up parts left to go! stoked! we will both have pathys to go wheeling now . :)

If you don't know when it was last changed, just do a complete fluid exchange and overfill through the shifter hole to ensure proper capacity. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/2621-manual-transmission-tsb/

Put on the 31s today, refurbished the rear discs (yes it has rear discs!) I'm jealous.... cleaned it up, swapped power steering pump...no more strong ARM!! Needs tie rods and a center link, and a timing belt kit and she should be good to go! :) I figure 1200-1300 total cost after truck, tow, and all parts, and this will be one nice solid truck!!!

  20. Picked up a full engine gasket set for 75 bux on ebay, all main gaskets and injectors seals/orings. such a steal. almost ready for winter :)

    1. adamzan

      adamzan

I would not use an aftermarket rear main seal. The other seals are fine though.

    2. Nefarious

      Nefarious

yeah it doesnt come with rear main, its still good and i dont plan on pulling the motor or trans until i have to, but it does have the cam seals and front main,

  21. Picked up a mint 95 pathy steering box and front skid plate today at the wreckers for 50 bucks. Cleaned and painted black and ready to go on tomorrow. :D

    2. Nefarious

      Nefarious

haha yeah if you don't use your back seats then that would make the most sense. i on the other hand use my back seats a lot! lol

    3. rwd5021

      rwd5021

??? All you have to do is replace the plastic guides with metal guides per the factory service bulletin. VERY EASY fix. other than that the VH45DE is better in every single way. Plus 330hp 310 lb ft stock power and 400+ with a tune can't really be beat on a fully forged and built/balanced from the factory NA motor.

    3. Tungsten

      Tungsten

By all means if they have metal guides available go for it.

    4. Nefarious

      Nefarious

Yeah they are about 60 bucks on ebay. 100 or so from the dealer. I'm sure Alkorahil can hook me up though :)

  24. Refurbishing an old set of 15x8 alloy wheels for the pathy. Replacing the 15x10 steel wheels that are on now and weigh a TON! Will be cutting around 30 LBS PER WHEEL! Should be a noticeable increase in performance. :)
