  1. Adios p1320 and p0304! Changed out ignition coil on cylinder 4 last night.. Was getting p1320 Primary Ignition Misfire and p0304.. Cyl#4 Misfire. Of corse the most difficult one to replace. Under the throttle body and behind the air intake we go!! Reste the eheck engine light and keeping fingers crossed. Hope I dont get any more misfires although I've only got three more coils to change if I do. #onebyone # proccessofelimination LOL

You didn't have to remove the throttle body, just the air intake tube and the IACV which is secured by two Phillips head screws.

  4. Picked up a 1993 pathfinder SE with every single damn option available except heated seats. 5 Spd manual and it's an american truck from texas so 100% rust free! Pretty rare up here in BC, canada. Picked it up for the girlfriend as a fixer upper, so far 800$ spent in total including truck and tow and we got almost everything to fix it up. just tune up parts left to go! stoked! we will both have pathys to go wheeling now . :)

If you don't know when it was last changed, just do a complete fluid exchange and overfill through the shifter hole to ensure proper capacity. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/2621-manual-transmission-tsb/

  6. So after 337K miles, this trans has lost reverse. This sucks.

      Towncivilian

Yeah that ain't bad, that transmission doesn't owe you anything at that mileage... I take it you've kept up with maintenance given the surprising mileage. Get an HD version of the trans as Tungsten said unless you want a manual swap of course.

  7. Pathfinder now averages 21.2 mpg according to fuel receipts and mileage. I can live with that. Some of that was with the A/C running and city driving too.

  8. Diffrences between mobile 1 syn and Mobile 1 extended Syn? Not like ones cracked and the other isnt?

you shouldn't need to change your filter at 5k unless you're using something like a fram orange can, if you have a clean engine in the first place any well constructed filter can go 10k easy

are you going to do extended oil change intervals? i.e. over 10k? if not, stick with regular M1; if 5k or less, use conventional and save your money

  12. Hmm..any way to make an R50 overhead console work in a WD21? Or am i just dreaming again...

      Towncivilian

You can probably wire it in, all it requires is power, ground, temp sensor input (2 wires), speedometer input (this might be the only problem), and illumination (can skip)... as for mounting it somewhere you're on your own

  13. Why do people think brake fluid doesnt need tobe changed? I mean its not meant to be black and gooey.

    1. Towncivilian

      Towncivilian

siphoning & filling the reservoir gets fresh fluid into the MC, but doesn't mix much into the rest of the system and whatever disgusting fluid is in the calipers is going to stay there until you bleed the lines

      Towncivilian

yep, most manufacturers don't specify a brake fluid change interval and people don't like spending more money than necessary to have it flushed
