      Welcome to NPORA!

  2. Kinda curious how this forum has little activity and yet the Facebook page that is full of R50 lovers is somehow more popular...... Makes no sense to me 🤨

Kind of sad how people are so addicted to social media that they will ignore a resource that doesn't delete or dilute the information available for them, huh?

You'll be more likely to get a response by creating a topic in the 90-95 WD21 section. If for no better reason that visibility, as a lot of members to do pay attention to status updates ;)

  4. Hey look at that... I just tipped over the 1000 posts benchmark! YAY!!!

  5. It's that time of year again to start tracking down some chains if you don't have any for those winter exploration mission!

      Chains?

      Never used them!  ;D

If you're in Les Schwab territory , they can be returned in the spring for a full refund, if unused.

  6. Snohomish county in Washington is apparently a haven for car thieves.

Now my 1988 Pathfinder has been stolen, partially stripped and damaged.  I got it back, but it was no longer drivable. The radiator was blown apart and a bunch of wiring was torn out of engine compartment.  I had insurance coverage through state farm, but they are doing all they can to get out of paying for the claim.  They sent Kim Robinson to talk with me about the claim this week, but it was really a 2 hour interrogation and not at all intended to resolve the claim.   I was insuring a lot through State Farm until that meeting.  My monthly premiums were over $400 for my Carver Yacht, 2006 Truck, the Pathfinder, and renters insurance.  Now everything has been moved to Progressive and Metro Mile Insurance companies.

She asked me stuff like how long I worked for my employer, why I chose to not insure some of my vehicles for periods of time. Why I owned some vehicles that I didnt drive daily. Essentially, she was convinced I am trying to do something shady and she is on a fishing expedition to find out what exactly.

Damn Jim, sort to hear... again!  :(Maybe on the next one.. and any current vehicles... invest in a full featured alarm. Along with GPS Tracking. Trust me it's worth it, though I doubt I need to justify it, too you, now.

  7. I'm about to install my 2.5" lift spacers on my 03 R50 Pathfinder. I've read a lot about camber bolts and springs/struts/shocks as necessary upgrades after lifting. I'm hoping that someone can give me some installation advice but most importantly some links to camber bolts and other parts I will need. Thanks!

  8. Getting my MT fluid changed tomorrow. Let's see if that bearing quiets down for a while ?

  9. I need help to get my 1995 Pathfinder XE, auto trans going again. Was cutting out and then stopped all together. Replaced battery, dist cap, fuel filter, Coil checked out good at AutoZone but not sure if it was checked correctly. No spark and will not start ( obviously ) Had speaker hooked up in back of rig, that were stolen and at that time found the positive wire from them hanging down. That is when my problems started with engine cutting out, Could that angling positive wire have shorted out my system ??

Thanks. I need all the help I can get, Fred

For technical help it is best to use a standard forum topic, like the one you created here HERE.

I am going to lock this Status Update so that replies trying to help are centered in the thread for simplicity :Aok:

  10. Well, it's gone.  Hopefully the new owners take care of it like I did, they seemed like good people who know what they're doing.  Doesn't make it hurt less.  ?

It's never good to hear of a Pathy leaving a fellow members family, but it's also a little reassuring that it may have gone to good hands. Did you direct them to NPORA? ?

  11. Just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on this forum for all the help that has been provided to myself and others, as of today I've finally figured out the fix to my ABS light which has been on for almost 10 years now. The Pathy has never looked/functioned this good!

  12. hola gracias por aceptarme

BFG MT's also have great traction!  They may cost a little more than some others, but over the years BFG's have never failed me and I've run a couple generations of MT's on a couple different trucks, including AT's on the Pathy (be wary of wet roads with NON-siped BFG AT's) before moving to BFG MT's.:aok:

  14. Very sadly getting rid of the R50 before winter. Looking at WD22 Xterra's, but the interior feels so cheap and crappy by comparison...

      RedPath88

Nope you answered it. Have you considered another R50 so you can just swap mods over? maybe a rust-free west coast model. As for the WD22, I understand getting the REAL NexGen Pathy :P:D

The server move is stalled due to time restrictions (in my personal life.) But either way, a server change will not alter the edit timeframe, that is restricted due to serious abuse in the past. :(

  20. Just recently figured out I got caught right in the middle of a scam at the mechanics, explains why my car has been taking 3 months to be returned. Spoke with the owners of the shop, got it figured out. Employee got fired and my car is finally getting serviced. AAMCO transmissions, avoid them at all costs.

I've only ever had one trans rebuilt by a shop, after nothing more than speaking with AAMCO, I went to a small local shop. Cost a little more, but I never regretted it!

When I first bought my Pathy I had the same problem, tracked it down to a bad connection at the motor.
