  1. Welcome to the club!

Haven't seen you on the the steets but I'll be watching for ya. There's a few of us in Ottawa and we get together every now and then for Timmies. Cheers!

  2. Why replace the hatch? The only thing that brings the hatch into play is the license plate, it will have to be relocated as the carrier will cover it. Your mods will be to the corner and the bumper cladding, none to the hatch.
  3. I agree with BowTied, it's perfect time to re-grease your bearings. It's also a good time to check your CV boots for cracks and wear, getting the axles off isn't much more work from that point.
  4. Those are some nice! What's the gap between them and the doors when they're opening? Looks pretty tight.
  5. I picked one up from a '96 for my '97 LE and the carrier itself lines up no problem. The issue is the bumper cladding, it needs to be changed to one that had a carrier or it needs to be cut up to allow access for the latch and stricker plate.
  6. Glad to hear, been following waiting for some resolve. P.S. Speaking of stealership, local dealer wanted $40 + tax for 4 trailing arm bolts. Got grade8 hardware elsewhere for $3.
  7. Had a very similar situation with my car and it turn out to be a plug wire. After a very close inspection of the pulled wires, one of them had a cut in it that looked like it was done with a razor blade. The car ran perfect once the new wires were installed. HTH!
  8. It's been said but I must say it once more, wow...
  9. So what's with the no power steering fluid? Just curious since that was part of the original post.
  10. Agreed... It always baffles me when someone boast about driving in treacherous conditions with bald tires, they're your lifeline! Imagine your truck's capabilities with better tires...
  11. To boldly go where no rig has gone before... Brings a new dynamic to the challenge of offroading.
  12. They're called sequential turn signals. You can buy aftermarket kits, eBay has some.
  13. HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! Be more active, drop some weight and be generally healthier.
  14. No worries B your gift came today! I really like the knife, it feels nice and stout. I've added a few items to the grocerie list so we can try some of the recipes. Thanks B!

    Car50 Mudding

Mudding is a relative term I guess. A/Ts in 2wd would have made it through that! If he just bought the truck and is new to the sport I can see how he'd be excited. It always tickles me when we go offroading and we go through spots where most people would never dream of driving their Jeeps, Hummers etc... it's exciting to look back and go damn! Our trucks are quite capable machines. Funny video non the less!
  16. My truck came with Monroe Reflex struts & shocks and I'm wondering what to expect in longevity. They sit at about 40KMs currently. Thanks!
  17. Thanks Pezzy, good to know!
  18. The trails we were on weren't groomed so no worries. I believe the "trails" were more of access roads to the Hydro line.
  19. Dear Santa, Here's a list of what I would like this Christmas... - Dark blue ball-cap (logos don't matter) - Pair of winter work gloves - BBQ recipe book - Ali movie on DVD - NFS Carbon for Xbox360 - Pocket knife with a 3" blade or less Any one of these would be great. Thanks Santa!
  20. LOL!!! I've given my dash a good wack when I've heard a sqweek or rattle.
