DoctorBill
My used '95 Pathfinder XE-V6 has a heavy gasoline smell inside the cab when I first start it up in the morning ! Doesn't do that later in the day. Where could this be coming from and how can I fix it ? Everything else has been working fine after my Timing Belt Change with the addition of a Transmission Cooler that I posted hereabouts. (Knock on wood!) DoctorBill It is a common problem for the clamps on balance hose between the 2 fuel rails to come lose and when the system primes fuel will come out. It only takes a few minutes to fix. There is s few postings about this but i dont have time to find the links right now.
Dowser
x2 Had the same problem on 2 of the 3 I've owned. Simple fix as stated with just a tightening of a couple clamps. I too have little time to search for it but if you start your vehicle up with the hood open then run over you'll be able to see where. Look between the Fuel rails as BoneZ said. Its right there and easy to get at.

PATHRIDER
I replaced mine with hardware store hose clamps..smallest one they carry at the plumbing section Edited February 2, 2010 by PATHRIDER
R3DN1CK
I replaced mine with hardware store hose clamps..smallest one they carry and the plumbing section Those will work, but it would be better if you were going to replace them to use fuel pressure hose clamps as they are smooth and apply even force around the circumfrence of the hose. DoctorBill
Yup - you betcha ! Started 'er up this morning, popped the hood and sure enough, the hose between the injector rails on the passenger side close to the front had fuel all over it. I tightened the two hose clamps on the 3-4 inch hose and they were quite loose ! I should check ALL the hose clamps now... DoctorBill
