  1. I figured it out. it was a plug under the dash I guess I disconnected it. Thanks for the advice!!!
  2. Yea. Lookn at it it looks fine. I don't think I'll be trying that. But I will be looking at that u haul thing tomorrow.thanks.
  3. This has nothing to do with the problem at hand. But when underneath my truck gets wet it kills instantly is there a censor or something down there that can't get wet?
  4. Yes someone did. I'll try that staple thing now . There are eight holes in there my luck I might connect two hot connections or something. I don't know . Thanks
  5. Both. But somehow the brake lights started working.
  6. The brake lights are working now. I must have a short somewhere cuz I'm thinking that when I was messing with the wires I musta did sumpin... First it wasn't blown then it was blown. Changed the fuse and now its working.Do you know what that other green wire is for? Because it really looks like it was cut intentionly and I'm sure its been that way since I purchased the truck and as for as I can tell everything in the truck works except the turn signals. Witch justed stoped working when I started messing with the wires
  7. my wifes pathy had over 500.000 miles on it when the clutch went out. she bought it at 40.000 miles and she rarely changed the oil!!!!!
  8. i checked the fuses, bulbs, switch under the break peddle. my running lights work. all blinkers worked until i started trying to find the problem with the break lights so now thats another problem i have to try to fix. could it be a fuseable link or the relay? what do those four fuseable links go too cause one of the green ones is completely gone (looks like some one cut it off) and one of the pink ones looks nasty. if its a relay witch one or how do i test it? any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
  9. sorry it took so long for me to get back to you.it wasnt a write up more like a slightly sarcastic comment. best way to find out is to ask grimgreg. i cant remember where i saw it
  10. i changed the t stat(thanks to grim gregs instructions on a 30 min tstat change) . the rad should be good because it was fine in my other pathy. could my timing be off? is there something that could cause both over heating and high idle speeds? any insight on this problem would be greatly appreciated!!!! trying to get her into tip top shape before i put her on 33" tires... problem fixed it was the tstat. i had the tstat laying around the house for about a year maybe it got dameged. it seems like the new tstat fixed the high idle. it was stuck open. she seems to be a little slugish now. thinking about cleaning the maf censor. thank you for the help!!!!!! you know my wifes old pathy bucked liked a bull for about 4 years and thanks to this site i now know it was just the maf censor. this is really a great site.
  11. has not set their status
