  1. Gently tap a long fat screw driver between the bell housing & the header it will give you inuff clearance to fit in your socket without having to take off your headers. It would be nice if they came already pretended for such things as the oil filter and that damn bolt! just my 3cents.
  2. my black beast rides on micky's baja claws 33's 12.5x15 on 15x8's stick out about 3" flings the mud chunks up on the roof! damn good mud grabbers that's for sure, we will see how they do in the snow!? The red one has 31's BFG's A T's did good last winter on the icy streets! "The AT's need rotating!every 3to4K The tread pattern likes to wear funky" so I was told by my alignment guy, at 30 psi in rear the center's were warn and up front at 35psi both wheels had equal wear on both outer edges with 4k on them 95% tread left, wear on the centers and sides was less than 1/8" but then again I drive like a maniac late four panic atack!
  3. I will agree, I have a 3" BL and run 33x12.5 15's still have stock muff set up but no cat. and she did great! for having those big ass tires and a lil V6! As for the lift ya the 3" lift is rough on the Bolts Im most likely going for bigger body mount boltz as my front ones are starting to bend all ready after 3 weekend jontz! granted she almost flipped goin crazy on some rocks! AS for the power loss the kick ass baja claws make up for it! Had to cut out both front and rear fenders and add cover plates " (welding)OR spray foam it!" in the new holes I had made in the side rails< sorry going off here! this is my weekend rig not a daily driver! daily has 31's and thats all I would run for a daily driver pathy with no lift!!! ok time to get off this damn computer and go work on my truck!!!!
  4. I saw this thread and thought cool someone else had the same problem but after some good gut laughs remembering the hard time I had figuring out my 4x4 shifter back in the day I realized nope not the same problem, My problem I had last week coming down off the MT was I really couldn't get her out of 4wheel figured something wasn't lined up so I just put her in reverse and backed up about a inch or so and she came out just fine! But now Im asking the question What fluid did those guys at the tranny shop put in my T-case??? is that bronze I smell getting eaten?#%$@!! time to give'm a call ASAP!
  5. ya all of the above for shure Im glad some one else carries super glue with them, when your stuck in the snow or mud and you get a nice gash and you start leakin vital red stuff it will act as a second skin! also works on the nagin girl friend just apply to lips and hold four 3 seconds and Oh ya the hand gun out hear in N.M. we have bears, mountain lions and banditos! aka drunk morons "better to have a gun and not need it then to really need one and not have it"
  6. throw sum cold water on it and try thinking of little puppies, sorry I couldn't resist
  7. here is a photo of the cracked pump I hope its sum what clear as for some reason I couldn't up load it with out degrading it down a hell of allot!
  8. watch out fellow pathy lovers, I picked up a water pump at checkers and put it in a year ago no problems until yesterday getting on the high way I had to kick her in the ass up to 5500rpm so I didn't get flattened bye a semi and then snap! coolant every where! Ok so after picking up a used pump at the scrpyd I Know I know but Im broke until next week so I couldn't afford a new one but heres the deal the pump I pulled out of a 90 has a much larger housing then the one from checker a.k.a thicker side walls! so watch out for the skimpy water pumps out there! Im going to check out the remanufactured pumps and see if they are thick walled or not my guess is they probably very. Does anyone out there know of a good brand of pump? thats not made in china or tie-on with old coke cans!!
  9. I had a hell of a time with the pace setter headers on my 93 4x4 manual both were to long and needed cutting after all was done and together "ya no space to get at the oil filter! so an easy fix after taking it all apart for a 4th time hammer out a flat area just above the filter just a pit to be able to get your hand in there and not up struck the exhaust flow thats if you don't go for the relocation kit. other hints nice to have retapped manifold holes because the stock ones suck! and I used some valve head bushings the ones that are like 3/8 thick they work great the bolts have yet too get loose! after a year of daily driving!
