    I have a 1997 Pathfinder LE, I have the stock rims with Michelin Cross-country's (Soon to be 32" BFG ATs) and I am working on getting the AC 2" Lift. I have a custom Light rack with 2 Hella 500s. K&N intake, high flow headers... Cool stuff.

  1. Allright, so i'm close to getting the lift package from AC and I was thinking about throwing in a skid plate package so I can get this whole thing out of the way with one swoop. I was wondering who has the skid plate package from AC and what they think about it. Is it standing up well to some abuse, is it rusting, just what they think about it. Thanks
  2. I really hope that's not the problem, but none the less the truck is going to Aamco next week so we'll see.
  3. I checked all the fuses under the hood and the spot next to the steering wheel... any others I am missing?
  4. I did the self diagnostic check today and the truck's telling me that nothings wrong. The light blinked 10 times and they were all only one second. So I really don't get it.
  5. ok, so here's where I'm at right now: I tried the battery trick a few times and that didn't solve anything, it cleared the check engine light for the o2 sensors but the tranny stayed the same. I am almost 100% sure that it is in limp mode, it's in 3rd gear no matter what I do. So then I tried what the service manual said, turn the ignition to on, then off for 5 seconds and then back to on, and in theory that is supposed to reset the tranny.... which it didn't. So I don't get it, are there more steps involved that I'm not doing? Reverse still works fine, and if it had shifted into gear when I screwed up then shouldn't reverse be the most f**ked up gear in the truck?
  6. ok, so i''m om the highway and me friend shifts the truck into neutral and I thought it was second so I accidentaly shifted it into reverse at 65-70 and now the truck won't shift into first, is there anything I can do to fix this?
  7. Yeah, another thing I found out this weekend is that logging roads are considered class 6 roads, and are completely legal to drive on without any type of permission. Just thought I would share that, lol
  8. I kinda think that taking your time when you need to is a key thing. I know a lot of people with trucks that have better tires, lifts and all sorts of upgrades that have problems on trails that I can do in my stock R50. The truck is only as good as the driver...
  9. There are a bunch in brookline, milford and mason but none of them are really marked.. They are really just old quarry/logging trails so just look around on old side-roads and you'll find some. BTW, power line trails are all over the place here, there hard (very large rocks) but fun!
  10. Yeah, the AC skids are a good deal, there not aluminum (3/16 steel powder coated black) but there pretty high quality and bolt right on.
  11. I have a 97 Pathfinder LE, and it's got all the on-road luxuries, like leather, heated seats, pretty quiet ride, sun roof, and off road it preforms very well. Stock it's a very nice truck, and I have had it for allmost two years and have had no major problems with it. Quality truck and it preforms well.

  13. I have Michelin Cross countrys in the stock size and they do great on snowy roads, great on dirt trails, not so great in mud or deep snow on trails... But if you want a not too exspensive tire that has good tread life and is good for occasional offroading, there hard to beat.
  14. yeah, AC has a 3/16 front skid plate to replace the splash guard, it's bolt on and it's a fair price
  15. Umm, i actually don't know what size the tires are, I know there stock so yeah. Everything's fine, the foreward part of the splash guard got ripped off, but what ever; it's just plastic. The ground under the trail was all frozen and icy, and at the end of the trail it was all mud and water.
