My 94 Is exactly like that, but in the steering column, makes me paranoid....

Seem's to me if your going to put that kind of money into somthing to just get it back to normal operating condition you might as well hunt down somthing for the price of the viecle & the repair bill combined.. should be able to get a decently low miled good conditioned viecle for that price.... Maybe if you got it for free, unbelivibly cheap, or allready owned it then the money for repairs might be worth it... Just an opinion, but you know what those are like....

I guess i need to sit back and gather in some more info till i can feel comfortable with a final word since there are many diffrent storys about the speakers... im not on a unlimited budget, but i dont have to go the super cheapo either
-
Well i'd much rather have a good aftermarket set of speakers, but i also want what fits correctly thats why i am considering the Metra... I want to get everything & do a system install all at once. Speakers & head unit, so i dont have to fiddle with it again.... im not into modifaction nor have the skill to fabricate.... thats why im trying to get the most compatible system together so i can strait install and go I plan on purchasing my stereo & install supplies from crutchfield, but all the speakers they have according to customer service will require some sort of cutting modifaction, so i have to get those from another sorce...

Do those metra's work in the front and back?

5x7s I bought dont fit in the front doors!

1994 pathfinder xe Im getting very confused here.. So are 4x6's or 5x7's in the front? And in the back are 5x7's direct fit? I'm reading diffrent threads with diffrent stories Just trying to get what i can do strait with out any modifaction -
So aftermarket 5x7's wont fit with out modifaction no matter what brand? Do they make some kind of adapter ring or are you stuck doing somthing else? I thought it would just be a simple switch and go... Those metra speakers any good? I figure if you have the stock tweeters still active those metras should take car of the bass & midrange?

Hi, A few days ago, I purchased a 1994 Pathfinder XE 2wd with 118,000 in what bluebooks call "good" condition for $1,800 wich looks like i got it for basicly half of what it is worth...it has been well taken care of... Ive never owned a nissan product, but read up on this gen. of pathfinder problem areas, trans cooler, frame rot/rust & manifold bolts & cracks, and checked those pretty well before purchase... got a total inspection yesterday, mechanic varified its in great shape and ready to go...... Cosmeticlly its great except the piece that kinda buldges down where the dome light is from passengers end to to drivers side end is missing all the material & is just a off white plastic color with old cruddy adheisve, thefolks i bought it from says it was caused from heat & the adhesive that just let go, as it is a former fla car allthough garaged most its life, i still can see how hot it could get in a non climate control area... Thanks for listening
