  1. No just bypassing dampening boxes. Direct line from master to slave.
  2. Thanks for assuring my thoughts. yeah I'm going to tear into it a bit. might have broke something in that pivot puck thing on the shifter itself. Got a couple other things to mess with to before I decide to swap it again. Doing a bypass on the hydraulic clutch. Removing everything Air conditioning and a 3inch body lift. really think the lift will make tranny jobs easier. Once again thanks for the info.
  3. After seeing bits and pieces of these transmission swaps on here am I to understand that any manual transmission from a 3.0 and 3.3 will bolt and plug in? Some info I've seen says the xterra 200-2004 are sought after replacements but it would be nice to have a larger scale of transmissions to chose from. Any insight on this is appreciated. Basically just need to know what years to look for like for pathfinder/xterra/frontier. I need to replace the manual in my 1993 XE pathy. I replaced the clutch and lost 2nd 4th and reverse 200 miles later. Won't even shift into those gears with the truck off. Once again any help broadening my search is appreciated.

    Clutch issues

finally got the hydraulic system working tip top with new master and slave. pushes the release lever forward great now and smooth as ever. bad part is it still doesn't disengage. so guessing its the throw out bearing. any other ideas are welcome. but never had a clutch issue till my pedal stuck to the floor. like I said good pedal now.

    Clutch issues

wish there was a video on how to make a new clutch master cylinder pump fluid. seems to be common knowledge that it needs to be done but nobody knows how to do it

    Clutch issues

yea it had no leaks ...dry as a bone on all components ...probably the same as always with my pathys whatever the worst possible outcome is thats what it is ...hell I can't even get the new master cylinder to pump tried bench bleeding eveyway I can and nothing

    Clutch issues

Yesterday the clutch pedal went to the floor and stayed there. managed to limp it home. Go to mess with it today pedal still on the floor. Jack it up to look at the slave cylinder and had my son press the clutch and there's full pedal all of a sudden and its moving the fork about a half inch but still acts like the clutch isn't engaging. Any ideas would be appreciated. By the way it did just fine before this. Hoping its not the throw out bearing just yet I didn't want to mess with it till I needed to do the clutch. Like I said though any ideas are appreciated.
  8. Job done. I never let the reservoir go dry. Didn't leak much out as the hose swap took less than a minute. I just bled the caliber it was connected to and bam. done deal.
  9. Decided to fix my leaking drivers side hose today. I can't for the life of me find 2 threads that agree to anything as far the actual process. Just going to do it the way I always have and hope for the best. I don't have a FSM for it and can't get the links for them to work. It's a 1995 SE and seems to have every bell and whistle a 4x4 can. Any advice or directions to a link that actually works would be very gladly accepted.
  10. Thanks so much for the info. I'll have to dig through forums and hopefully find somebody with some pics or vids on the swap.
  11. Got some advice from another member. Going with an Xterra auto trans I believe. Most I'm seeing say without supercharged option. No clue what that is but is it what I want for my 95 SE?
  12. THANKS for shooting me in this direction.
  13. Still new to the forums and sucking them up like a sponge. Great peeps and info. Question is I just purchased a 95 pathy with no reverse and after looking into fixing and replacing the auto I'm wondering if I can swap it for a manual. Can this be done easy? as in bolt off/bolt and slight mods? or is it an impossible nightmare? Any info or vid links are greatly appreciated.
  14. Thanks and yes I'm looking into the tranny as well. Of course I was told by the owner that it was just the reverse selenoid, but I don't think I've seen just that fix one yet.
  15. Hello new to the forums. Just purchsed a 95 pathy (no reverse of course) and was wanting to lift it a tad to match better with the 31's the previous owner put on it. I'm happy with just the lift the springs gave. Didn't understand off the bat what was meant by JGC until I looked up the part number for the springs. All to clear now. Guess my question would be how did you match front and back height when you did the springs? I am assuming to front was lifted the first 3 inches by a torsion adjustment? By the way does anyone have a link for torsion adjustment for these offhand? Sorry if these questions seem simplistic but I've only owned very old 4x4's. I'm new to the asian truck world but very impressed with this truck.
