he said it came from both sides from under the valve covers, thats why i thought it might be

if its on both sides and by the valve covers it sounds like it might be your lifters

ok, i checked out all the wiring n what not under the dash, its not melted nor is any of it disconnected....i changed the tail lights and still nothing...when the lights are not on i get no repsonse when touching the brake, thyre only on when the lights are on and they are the bright stop lights...im not very good with electical systems but if u want me to post pics of whats going on under there i will... thanks for all the help!

yea my pathfinder was having the same problems...it was running horrible and i replaced the o2 sensor and it perked right up....my guess would be to start there....

ok...so after the fact that earlier in the week the gasket between the y-pipe and cat went and started a mini fire in cabin , today my brake lights are constantly engaged and now when i go to engage cruise control the cruse light just flickers....im lost....this new pathy is bad news... thanks for your input!

On wiki it says the VG30E is the kind of motor that is in my 95 XE, and that there is another motor called the VG30ET, which is the same motor as mine just with a t25 turbo on it?....is it possible to take a t25 turbo and put it on my VG30E? Heres the wiki page I was looking at:Nissan VG Engines

Hey! im new here and really like the place! Im having a problem with my 95 xe, I was driving down the highway and out of no where the right side headlight went out along with the stock fog lights....i check the wiring and nothing was wrong visibly with anything...any ideas? Thanks!
