  1. Same happened to me. I cut it off after the muffler and ran a turndown for a few weeks before cutting the whole thing off and making a custom exhaust.
  2. Oh, and if the dip@!*%s at Discount tire try and tell you they cant install the tires if it, rubs, it's a load of crap. I hate discount tires.
  3. I'll check it out for a vacuum leak. Thanks. Also ordering wires/plugs as I'm nearing 200k
  4. Recently my rig has started showing sign of what I assume to be transmission slip (198k miles, 2000 3.3 Auto) but I'm not entirely sure what it is. Under 3/4 throttle its hesitating a little, like it wants to go faster but cant. It doesn't jolt forward but casually speds up and slows down, really sluggish. Also, from time to time when getting on the freeway, I'll go mid-full throttle to enter, and the RPM's will jump and fall back down right away before proceeding to speed with the car. Lastly, I've noticed a slight flare between 1-2 w/ no throttle (while driving through parking lot, for example). Questions I have are: 1) What should I start look at first? Fluid seems full and still pink/red. I'm new to 4x4 cars in general so is there something else in the driveline that could be causing an issue? Thanks in advance!
  5. Any good places to go wheeling in Wisc? I'm over here in the Twin Cities and there isn't much that isn't 3-4 hours north.
  6. Its not vtec, its CVTCS, also known as variable valve timing, It's alot different than Vtec, but is similar technology to an extent. I'm not sure about DOHC. I know some of the sport car Nissans that have the VQ35DE are DOHC but I dont know if Nissan gave that engine to all vehicles. I have a 3.3 so I'm not sure.
  7. Get a new one. Only a matter of time before it goes for good. Even the "Stop Leak" stuff you can add to the fluid wont last. You most likely have a torn boot, which can be even more of a headache over time. They're fairly easy to replace. I got my replacement rack from Detroit Axle on ebay. They have a few options, but the rack itself is under $200. A lot cheaper than $300+ at the parts stores.
  8. Been meaning to ask how you made those fender flares. They look slick as hell!
  9. Haha I dont need them that bad. They're getting replaced soon, hopefully.
  10. Ohh okay. I read trim. Lol. The wheels on it are all 16". I figured the mismatching wheel was the spare as it is missing from its cubby under the truck. I do like it, and wish the others were the same. But oh well. Thanks for the welcomes.
  11. Thanks! Is there something special about it or it that an insider joke I don't understand......
  12. Hey, finally found a good site dedicated to the Pathfinder! I'm excited. Anyway, picked up a used 2000 Pathfinder SE just before Christmas. Sold my heavily modded 2001 Eclipse to get something larger and better in the snow up here in MN, and that is exactly what I got. Told myself I wouldn't mod the Nissan, but I got the bug after joining the Pathfinder R50 Facebook page. Hoping to do some exterior mods as I'm already comfortable inside. I'm thinking a small lift, cargo carrier/light bar, and bull/brush bar, and of course wheels and tires. But for now, just getting the truck maintenance done. It has 187k on it. Replaced the air filter, did an oil change, and replaced the factory TB coupler as she had a nice crack in her. Changed the three acc. belts, next up is the power steering rack. The truck itself is from Colorado, but the underside is VERY clean and rust free. I was shocked at how clean it was considering Colorado uses road salt/brine for anti-icing. Anyway, enough crap. Here is the truck the day I picked it up. I've since removed the rusty nerf bars and replaced the broken antennae with a non-power unit from an LE Pathfinder from the pick yard.
