I have 2.5" of rear lift and use bilstein 5100 #24-185509 for rear shocks. This is the part number for the 5100s offered by 4x4 parts.

I have one in my 02 and I love it. When driving on dirt roads with the manual hubs engaged, but still in 2wd mode it feels normal...meaning I don't feel the lokka trying to pull the wheels one way or another. I do 50-60mph on the washboards (in 2wd) and have no issues. When I do engage 4wd it's usually while driving over deep sand and I'm still doing around 20-30mph. In 4wd you can feel it try to pull to one side or the other but it's not too bad. A few times I've done some steeper climbs on loose/rutted hillsides and it climbs it easy. I also have an LSD so that helps a little, but I'm definitely a fan of the lokka.

Looks good. I have the same rims and tire size.

Shoot a pm to hawairish, he might be able to get you a SFD kit. I got mine from him and it's top-notch.

CV Joint Axle issues after lift 2 inches

You can also do a sub-frame drop to re-align your cvs back into the correct geometry. I have 3" spacers plus OME coils in the front and 2.5" spacers + OME coils in the rear with a 3" sub-frame drop. -
R50 Tire Carrier Mod: Let's settle this!
duke90 replied to hawairish's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Having the tire under the rear was a pain. I run 31s now and it was a tight fit..I'd have to readjust the tire several times so that it wouldn't be pressed against the PHR let alone having to lay under the truck to lift the spare onto the chain. Having the swing away carrier is much easier and takes a fraction of the time to mount or remove. -
Very happy with the lsd swap and lokka install plus the dozen other things we did to the truck over the weekend! Thanks again Hawairish for all of your time and help with this project.

Wish I had logged on earlier I would have been down for a "Mud" run.

Just an update if you're interested, I ordered two sets of both 166-21 and 166-23 today. Total cost was $75.90 plus shipping and they will be shipped out tomorrow.

I have everything sitting my my garage (literally everything to redo the front and rear suspension + new rotors and drums) just waiting to receive the rear OME coils and I was told they should be coming in at the end of this month. If you install yours over the holidays and can get back to me early december then that should be no problem.

I'm in. Any idea on the time frame? I'm having my coils/struts/control arms etc all replaced next month, would be nice to add the sfd while everything is apart if at all possible.
