    Hello...Greetings from the Pacific Northwest! Port Townsend, Washington to be exact. I have owned my 1987-88 Nissan Pathfinder SE V6 for about 1.5 years. I love it. It has 226 mi on it. I have invested in good tires. I have also recently had the brakes done. I love being up high in the saddle and the views are stellar. I love this sight and look forward to hearing from you all soon.

    Recently I have had trouble getting my 87' pathfinder in gear upon starting the ignition. The weird thing is it goes into gear when the car is turned off. I need to know more about the interlocking button on the dashboard. I am not too savy on cars mechanisms. I have owned many cars with stick shifts. My male friend who has owned many cars looked at it and now the car goes into gear but the emergency brake sign is in and the 4wd green sign is on. Can anyone shed some light on this situati...

      My male friend drove it and said he thought the clutch needed adjusted.

      I would go to "the garage" and start a thread with the issues it's having--hopefully someone with better knowledge of the manual trans will see it there and give you better info than I can.
