  3. I have seen the PVC roll bar before. They are popular here in the Southern states where we value looks over life.
  4. Welcome to the forums. I sure hope you have better luck with your Pathfinder moving forward.
  5. Welcome to the forums! I have a 95 as well. They are great rigs. Hope you enjoy your time here.

    That truck is hideous!
  8. Thanks! Happy to have found the forum and I love my Pathfinder!
  9. I have to admit I am a little paranoid about the timing belt. I've never owned a car with a timing belt, now I have two. I really prefer chains. Oh well, no problems thus far and I know they are fairly reliable, just not as relabel as a chain. I just figure they should be changed at some point due to age, regardless of the mileage. If for no other reason than peace of mind. Again, probably nothing more than paranoia on my part. I was assuming it was a 60K interval though. I am waiting for my owners manual to be delivered, I did not get one with the truck. I downloaded the factory service manual but have not looked through it yet. Thanks for the information devonianwalk.
  10. Thanks everyone, Terranovation, that's just me being me. From what I can tell my biggest concern is going to be the transmission. The previous owner serviced it every third oil change though so hopefully that makes a difference. He's replaced the timing belt twice however it will soon be due for another change. I think it will be a good truck. Every Nissan I've had before has been extremely durable. Thanks for the vote of confidence
  11. Thanks guys, looking forward to getting on some trails soon. I got the title transferred and tags on Monday then spent yesterday and today buffing out the paint. It looks even better than I thought despite buying it during some of the heaviest rain we've had all season. I kept telling my fiancé we were crazy to go look at a car in the rain, especially driving 70 miles to see it then hopping in and driving straight home (uninsured) in the same rainstorm. Looks like all is well however, despite breaking the first rule in used car buying. Gotta clean the interior and replace the rear hatch struts and then I will start putting some miles on the old gal.
  12. Welcome to the club. Nice 2 Door Pathy and good luck with your transmission issue. I'm sure you'll be wheeling it in no time.
  13. Thanks teixeira and devonianwalk. It is in great condition, not mint but really nice and it is bone stock. I don't know if I will keep it that way but it works for now. Yes, there are a lot of similarities to other Nissans I've owned. I've never owned a V6 Nissan though. That is the biggest difference, that and the 4WD gear. Anyhow, good to meet you, seems like a friendly enough group of people. Take care.
  14. Hello everyone, New member here and first time Pathfinder owner. I have been driving Datsuns/Nissans since the late 80's. I've owned a 210, a 280Z and a 280ZX, a couple of S110 (200SX) hatchbacks, a 720 pickup, I bought a 1997 2WD SE Pickup and a 1999 Sentra new, and I currently own a beautiful original 1985 S12 (200SX) XE coupe but this is my first Pathfinder and in fact it is my first 4WD vehicle ever! I jokingly say it is the manliest vehicle I've ever bought, but it's kinda true... Anyhow, my Pathfinder is a 1995 SE model with 147,000 miles. It was a one owner vehicle and he took really good care of it. He had recently replaced the front axles, put on new brakes all around, put four new Firestone tires on and replaced all the major belts and hoses. The original owner claimed he sold it to me for what he had just invested in the parts so I was really just paying for the parts and the truck was free. Sounds like a good sales tactic but it is likely true. So... as I said this is my first 4WD, I use to off road quite a bit with friends and I even took that 720 2WD through some pretty rough terrain but I had never owned a 4X4 of my own. I mainly bought it for the random foul weather days we have in central NC so I could ensure my fiancé would have a way to get to work but I plan to use it as a third vehicle and maybe for the occasional logging trail or path to a fishing hole. Who knows what kind of trouble I will get myself into? So that's my story. I hope to make some friends on here and I'm sure there is a lot to learn. Just wanted to say hello and let everyone know my deal. I'm glad I found this site and look forward to hours of entertainment when I'm not driving the Pathfinder. That's all for now, take care.
