  1. Or if anyone has suggestions on engine conversions.
  2. Anyone have links to a kit or experience with buying a motor from advanced? Replaced my head gaskets and head bolts but head is deff warped piston rings might be done as well. All this because I had an exhaust leak and one weekend I decided I'd do more work then was required. Anyway any help with a kit or experience with a motor from advanced
  3. wanting to know if I should replace my head bolts when i do my head gasket, also anyone have the part number for the studs that go onto the head for the exhaust manifold?
  4. I can smell what you're cooking, i was planning on replaceing the wheel bearings anyway i plan on going through everything
  5. Ya I got it from a buy here pay here place and if I had paid enough attention to it I would have taken it back in the small warranty time frame they gve me but it's to late for that. Yes I am mechanically inclined, I'm a Marine Diesel Mechanic in the CG so I can tinker on saturdays with the best of them. I gota change a cv boot on the driver side anyway so I'll just be pulling everything off both sides and inspect and replace. I also gota change the pilot bearing and slave cylinder at some point, as well as replace manifold gaskets and studs. It's a list but I bought it as a beater and something to get more exp as far as land vehicles instead of ships
  6. Well I feel safe now, I bought the little devil like this a few months ago and have been driving it like this. I will do what I can to get the missing @!*% in there. Can someone post picture of what it should look like without your dust cap please
  7. my haynes manual is saying that most models after 89 (I think) have auto locking hubs. right now my front hub bearings are exposed through the centercap of my HIGH DOLLAR american racing wheels O_o. anyway i first thought that they were manual locking and were missing the locking key set up on the hubs buttttt after reading that i have been playing around in 2wd and able to do some sweet burn outs in the dirt and when i put it in 4wd im not able to. anyway can someone explain how these suposed suto locking hubs work. im going o rebuild them because no telling how long they have been exposed to the weather. ill post pictures soon. short and sweet how do auto hubs work are all 90s model XE's autolocking
  8. so these bad boys should work for my stock headers and gasket, thats all im trying to do is fix that leak im not guna get performance headers. oh and thats a cute youngin got in that there picture, congrats
  9. so I have seen that the ZX studs are "better" since they are a stronger metal (or at least thats what I read in that little manual someone wrote out). has anyone used these studs? my questions are as follows 1. can I just get stock studs for my pathy without them rusting through in 3 weeks? 2. cant I just slap some anti sneeze on the studs to help prevent bulid up in the threads, or do I go the other way and slap some thread locker on them? any thoughts or sugestions
  10. no worries man as long as you arnt an aggie we wont have any issues
  11. I wouldnt think that it would change that much from tire size but @!*% who knows, i gota find a 4wd one just to make me happy. i dont like how tight the cable is right now anyway
  12. anyone know why my speed would be 10mph fast, i replaced the mechanical speed vable with one from a 2wd so it was a little bit shorter ( i wouldnt think that the length would matter but im starting to think different). Has anyone bought one from an auto parts store?
  13. It was red now it's macco volunteer firefighter red/orange
