  2. Hey guys I'm back, the tranie on my beautiful 89 Pathfinder quit.I was driving slowly on a dirt road and it just stopped working, like it was in neutral,no matter what gear I put it in it was like it was in neutral, park works so the shaft is ok.Never had a problem before, never slipped fluid was clean and full,no noises. It has to be something simple checked all the wire connections they seem alright, anyone experience something similar, please help I'm old and poor. Thanks ED
  3. yes I've checked the codes,I have been dealing with this for 6 months I'm sure it's one injector, plus I replaced o2 sensor,The maf sensor is ok,I cleaned it anyway. The pathfinder actually runs pretty good in limp mode I've put 6,000 miles on it since I bought it.But now that I know whats wrong I'd sure like to find an injector so I can drive up a hill faster, anyway thanks for all of your inputs ED
  4. I have a really nice 89 pathfinder that needs an injector,I can't find a rebuilt or a used one anywhere and I mean anywhere.I can't pay hundreds of dollars for a new one.Can anyone out there help,I'd really like to go past 2800 rpm. Thanks Ed.
  5. Found the problem loose connecter on inner fender near o2 sensor wire connecter must have bumped earlier. I just pulled apart and repluged the connecters and the trans works fine again,ED
  6. I found the problem a mechanic told me to pull apart the wire connecters for the transmission and put them back together this solved the problem trans shifts fine it was just a loose connection,ED
  7. I can manually shift into first gear but the torque converter still doesn't engauge it works but slips or seems to,I can then manualy shift into 2nd gear with a clunk but no 3rd gear or overdrive.Oddly enough reverse works fine torque converter hooks up tight. When I put it into drive it starts in 2nd and stays there, once again the transmisson worked fine for the two months I've had it,untill I got underneath and pulled on the o2 sensor wires,I also had the air cleaner off,but have had it off numerous times as the engine has been in limp mode since I bought it,still haven't found the cause off that code 5 1 injectors read ok on ohm meter may be o2 sensor but I need the trany working first. Thanks to anyone who can help.
  8. I was checking my o2 sensor after I was done the transmission won't shift out of 2nd gear and the torque converter doesn't lock up.It's driving me crazy I have checked fuses vacuum lines wire connections still nothing helped.Fluid is full.It worked fine until I messed with the o2 senser had the air cleaner off, checked all connections, wires vacuum lines. Can anyone help me?Ed Gillam phone is 208-258-1692,email gilman1747@gmail.com Thankes ED
