  1. I have the same problem. Seems they have disabled hotmail to reduce spam.
  2. Well there goes that idea as I just noticed that my crank bolt is 27mm.
  3. Ok the crank bolt head is 22mm. Much of a drama if the mounting bosses are different?
  4. Asked the bloke what year 31 it can out of and he just said that it suits 84-89 300s and 92-04 navaras. Still waiting on a reply for the crank bolt size
  5. Cheers guys, that is exactly the info I was after.
  6. Upon searching and searching I have found that the vg30i crank snout is meant to be longer than any other vg30 crank, I was doing some more searching again last night and someone stated that the vg30e crank has a bigger OD snout and then the next website said that only the FWD (maxima etc) have the larger crank snouts and that truck cranks are all the same. My drama is my engine (vg30i) has bent rods and it is easy to get vg30 long motors over here so I am looking at getting one and putting all the 'I' stuff on it. The one I am looking at is out of a z31 and already has a crank pulley on it. So my question is, does anyone have a simple yet correct answer on what the crank difference is, if any?
  7. Do you have the gear part number as I don't think my parts catalogue had it.
  8. I have considered the 31's, how is your speedo on accuracy?
  9. Thanks guys, fortunately I have built a few vg30's and actually work as a mechanic for a living so the engine, mechanical and fiddly stuff is all a part of my day to day activities. The only thing I won't be doing is the rust repair work as I give my brother them jobs since he does that for a living. And of course, if my bank balance was better then it would be getting done a lot quicker but I have a few projects that take up my money. This one is now #1 though.
  10. I thought I would finally introduce myself, I am from Ipswich in Queensland (Australia), I acquired my Terrano a few months ago after my uncle gave up on it after getting bogged and the engine sucking in water, my dad was the one I actually purchased it off as he owns a towing business and went and picked it up. Specs: 1987 2 door Terrano. VG30i and auto. 186899 thousand ks. Power windows, power mirrors, headlight washers, aircon etc (no sunroof). Things to fix: Rust hole above the 4x4 badge on the passenger side (left hand side),a small hole in the hatch seal and a bit in the drivers (right hand) rear wheel arch. Put the flares back on. Rebuild the engine. Replace the starter. Buy new wheels and tyres. Replace left hand mirror. Weld cracked wiper cowl. Replace Aerial. Find rear seat headrest. Recover or replace the roof panel above passenger seat (might be able to clean it up and rebond it). Mods/fixes already done: Replaced the door lock clips so you can actually use the key. 6.5" pioneer component speakers in the doors. Pioneer DEH-P6050UB headunit. A few aftermarket suspension components but I will see what they are after I clean it. Future mods: 15x7+10 white gecko / sunraysia wheels. 235/75-15 or maybe 30/9.5-15 in all-terrains. Rear wheel carrier since mine has been removed. Snorkel. Rear speaker replacement. Maybe a different exhaust system. http://www.filedump.net/index.php?pic=img05991358175926.jpg http://www.filedump.net/index.php?pic=img06001358175926.jpg
  11. Cheers for that guys, front speakers are done, I just wanted to double check that the rears were 6x9's as my drivers rear (right rear) is crackly, I was actually searching for a rear speaker removal so good thing I found this post.
  12. Sorry to bring this one back from the dead but can anyone tell me what size speaker they are in the rear?
  13. Ah cheers, everywhere I searched I couldn't find that, a mate did tell me that the r3m was the petrol and the r2m was the diesel but mine has had the stickers removed so I wanted to know more.
  14. Nah I nean what is the difference between an r3m and r3mr.
