  1. chevy 4.3 v6 is the easiest engine to add to any non GM vehicle. Painless makes all the wiring adapters. Advanced makes all the mounts and trans adapters. Call them and see. If you already have the 4.3 you are 3/4 of the way there. :contract: As always I am not responsible.
  2. Hey dead, thanks for helping. We went wheeling and had to get towed off the mountain. Steering shaft broke. Found all new column at local tow yard for 200 bucks, now all is well. I will post some pics from that adventure soon.. Thanks for all your help everyone.
  3. Our 'finder had a factory winch (actually said Nissan). When we got it it was burnt out so I sold it to a guy at work for 50 bucks. He rebuilt it and runs it on his hardbody.
  4. Yup thats the gear... Im desperate, the wife is naggin' me to fix it and there are few junkyards in wyoming that have pathfinders. Thanks for your help.
  5. Oh mighty Pathfinder experts, owners and gurus... A problem has arrizen.           My pathy has an aftermarket steering wheel and I am unable to find a replacement. The cruise control switches were mounted to the original steering wheel I do believe. I would appreciate any info you may share about how to install new controls or if any one has an old grey or black steering wheel with the controls please let me know.
  6. I know this is an old topic but gas here is between $1.20 and $1.70 for the low grade and add .02 for mid and .10 for premium. I love wyoming.
  7. Never pay a dealer to work on your rigs... I know. Some NAPA stores will clean your injectors, but only if you remove them first. My NAPA here in Wyoming charged $14 to clean my Toyota trucks injectors. After 500,000 miles $14 was well worth it. Be sure to replace your o-rings. BG makes an awesome tb cleaner if you want to try to do it yourself, but it is more than just spraying them. You need to test resistance and inspect the needle valves up close. Then check individual spray patterns. It is a big headache. Some people say putting a half cup of atf in your gas tank (when full) will clean all of your fuel system. Including your combustion chamber, but I personnally have not tried this so I wouldn't count on that info. Forget I even wrote it. Not responsible for anyone trying atf in thier fuel system :contract: !!!!
  8. Phish Violent Femmes Poe Tmbg more PHISH
  9. Quick disconnects can be used! I orderes some for a jeep from JKS and fit them perfectly now when we go wheelin' the rear sway bar can be easily disconnected then reconnected. So easy the wife can do it. I love you Hon!
  10. Go with headers! Put thorley's on the wifes pathy and she got her first "Fast Driving Award" (aka speeding ticket). Major improvement. As for heli-coils best invention next to duct tape and bailin' wire. Headers.......... $300 Labor.............. $125 Watching the wife sweat in court............. $ priceless Hon if you are reading this I'm just jokin with the guys. You know I love you. :help:
  11. The liability waiver is how we do it here. It seems to work well, and our techs are always willing to help out. We do have a superviser watching so people don't try to weld gas tanks and other odd behavior. I actually got the job while renting a space. Helping others is good trait.
  12. Well we finally ditched the ole 'horse and buggy' and went and got us some four wheel drives. So hello to the world from the land where the population of antelope is four times greater than the human population.
  13. The dealership I work at has a rental shop in the back, and wonderful package deals, we have people building hot rods, trail rigs, rock crawlers, and sand rails. We supply the air and some specialty tools for diy'rs. All in all it works out pretty well in the end $$.
