  1. I've run both Royal Purple or Mobil 1 5w30 since buying my pathfinder new in 2001....130,000 miles and still running strong. I personally like running a quality synthetic product, and also service the differentials, transfer case, and transmission. Don't know why anyone would be against synthetic except for the price. I average 16 mpg city, 18 hwy....tire size, lift, and driving habits will all impact mpg. Short trips and lots of stop and go driving will certainly bring you below the factory EPA rating. I long ago accepted that my pathfinder was never going to be a fuel miser.
  2. Looks like a quality product. Just sent you an e-mail to join your 2nd batch group =)
  3. it is on the rear of the engine in front of the fire wall, tucked behind the intake manifold. i saw my mechanic swap it out and he accessed it from the back of the engine, about half way between the middle of the engine bay and the passenger side. it's easier to get to if you remove the intake manifold, but he was able to reach behind it (with a lot of difficulty) to get to the pcv valve.
  4. I just bought a complete OME set up (include OME struts) late last year. I'd call ARB USA (located in Washington state) directly at 425-264-1391. They are pretty helpful and will let you know what is available. The OME complete setup is perfect for my needs - a little higher than factory and much more capable on and offroad. The struts/shocks seem very rugged, but don't know how they rate against other brands. If you are going for a complete OME suspension I would recommend the medium load front springs (part # OME 923) unless you have a bumper and winch then the HD springs (OME928) would work well. Just from my own experience. ARB_Pathfinder_Accessories.pdf
  5. Headers for the R50 VQ35?! You can count me in...definitely. I'm guessing getting 20 orders will be a challenge though.
  6. i put on my OME HD suspension last august. love it. hopefully the pic will post. i'd say about an inch of lift and i running 30in. tires (yoko atII 255/70/16). with light loads it is perfectly level front to back. the pic is my pathfinder with zero weight in the rear (except for a full tank of gas). if the pic doesn't post here click on my profile to see it. ARB makes three different front coils: 1)stock/0 lbs up front 2) medium for ~50lb up front and 3)HD (the ones i have) for 100-150 lbs i.e. bumper+winch. if i had to do it all over again i would probably get the middle coils. i'm usually carrying medium/heavy loads and then the front sits barely higher than the rear with the HD coils. however i'll be installing an air leveling kit soon (otuback special) and i'll see if that will keep it perfectly level when loaded. Good luck with your OME!
